Rolling Oaks is one of two championship courses at World Woods Golf Club. The layout offers something completely different from the renowned Pine Barrens course at the club, but it still offers the same amount of challenge and quality. The golf course is named after its landscape of rolling hills and forests of centuries old Oak trees draped with Spanish moss. Lush, rolling fairways lead to undulating greens that are protected by sharply defined, white sand bunkers. Water hazards come into play on three holes. The golf course has a traditional design but the dramatic elevation changes and picturesque landscape covered in azaleas, dogwoods, and magnolia trees really make it stand out. In addition to the two golf courses, World Woods also offers a nine-hole practice course and a circular, 20-acre driving range with target greens and practice bunkers.

This is me on one of the more difficult par 5's. If you play it and your a long ball, play it to the right fairway...You can make it...Lol.. Photo submitted by Robert5455343 on 11/16/2013

Incredibly Worth It
You really cannot beat World Woods for best value in golf in the Tampa/Central Florida area. I try to play there as often as possible and don't mind the 50-mile drive from Tampa. The Rolling Oaks course is somewhat underrated but is every bit as beautiful and challenging as Pine Barrens. In fact the greens (when they are not punched) are in better condition. The course is playing slightly more difficult this summer due to the rough off the fairways being longer. I enjoy the challenge. If you are a medium-to-low handicapper you will definitely like the experience and want to come back.
Great Course
Rolling Oaks is a fantastic course that is pure golf. It was refreshing to play a course in Florida where it was just you and the golf course. The course conditions were excellent and marvelous. The clubhouse is average at best, but I did not go to World Woods to sit inside a clubhouse. This is a must play for all golfers. Rolling Oaks is the easier of the two courses that World Woods offers.
Pure Golfing Experience
This is a place that all golfers should play at least once, but I warn you, you will yearn to play it again. Had played the Pine Barrens about a year ago and had to try Rolling Oaks this time. Pine Barrens is in your face brilliant golf course design. Rolling Oaks is subtle brilliance. Hats off to Fazio. Regarding the staff at the facility, I had read reviews that said they were rude. I experienced a very friendly and helpful staff, all of them. Maybe even overly friendly, like the waitress at a restaurant that checks in with you a little too often. Overall I would have to say playing Rolling Oaks was probably the finest PURE GOLF experience I have ever had.
Great Course For Family Fun!
Played with my Wife and 2 adult Sons 24 and 30 and all at different playing levels and it was a course that was enjoyed by all!!!!
We will play there again soon!!
Beautiful course.
Well worth the drive. Look forward to playing it again in the near future.
World of woods
This course is always in great shape, will play it as often as possible, playing there again tomorrow!
Common....Really?
Common..really? $18.00 on golf now for one of the top 100 courses in the country? What's to say? It's a great course,,a little quirky with tees on a few holes but fun and fair. Nice shape too given the weather. If you can get the golf now rate and don't play this course....I don't know what to say.
Can't go wrong
Great track and the value was unbelievable. The greens, tee boxes and fairways were in great shape
use a lower iron on No 8-par3
Fabulous course. It is indeed a pleasure to come back time after time and play
Beautiful Course
Rolling Oaks was a pleasure to play. The fairways and greens were in great shape for all the heat!! The sand traps were ruined by heavy rain earlier so the ranger told us not to play out of them. No problem here. All in all it was a great day of golf and getting a Hot Deal from Golfnow made it all the better. I want to try Pine Barrens now.
Beautiful course!
Course was well maintained, fairways were pure, and tee boxes were manicured. A few greens were a bit patched up, but other than that, fantastic course. Unfortunately there were gnats on almost every hole swarming myself and my partner. Ranger was friendly and so were the cart attendants. I would recommend this course in a heartbeat.
More than a round of golf
This place is so beautiful, even a bad round can still be pleasurable. Casual water if some sand traps, but otherwise in fantastic playing condition. Haven't played Pine Barrens – I'm so hooked on Rolling Oaks.
This course has great features
This is a great golf course. It doesn't get any better than this, especially for the price! If your a golfer it's a must you play this course.
don't skip this excellent course.
Most reviews put the Pine Barren course at world woods as the higher ranked course. But Rolling Oaks is just as enjoyable. the fairways might be larger and easyier to handle, but the greens are very challanging and require setting up your approach shots to score well. The undulations make putting more then just an afterthough and if your not careful, you might be 3 putting often. I think for a compeititve round the rolling oaks is the course to play.
World Woods - Rolling Oaks
Once again my wife and I had an excellent round at this magnificent course. The course is in excellent condition and we barely saw any other players. We played in the afternoon which means it was hot but we had the course to ourselves. It was well worth the 45 mile drive from our home.
WORTH THE TRIP FROM TAMPA
THE COURSE BEAT ALL EXPECTATIONS, FROM TEE BOX TO GREENS. FAIRWAYS WERE LIKE DRIVING ON PLUSH CARPET AND GREENS WERE IN GREAT CONDITION. BEST COURSE I HAVE PLAYED IN THE TAMPA BAY AREA THAT IS NOT PRIVATE. I RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO EVERYONE WHO LOVES GOLF. GOLFNOW.COM GOT IT FOR US AT $19 PER PLAYER "THATS JUST RIDICULOUSE". THANK YOU GOLFNOW.COM AND GREAT JOB WORLDWOODS.
Wow!
What a course! Practice facilities was outstanding! Fairways and greens were fast and hard!! Outstanding conditions and the elevations on the course were so fun for a Florida course! Get out there ASAP! Tee boxes, greens, and fairways are nicer than the carpets in my house!
Beautiful course
Large fairways, large undulating greens and many elevation changes (for Florida). Have now played both Pine Barrens and Rolling Oaks and love them both
A must play in Tampa Bay.
Course was in excellent condition. Pace of play was perfect, less than 4 hours for 18 holes. I will definitely play again.
