About

Rolling Oaks is one of two championship courses at World Woods Golf Club. The layout offers something completely different from the renowned Pine Barrens course at the club, but it still offers the same amount of challenge and quality. The golf course is named after its landscape of rolling hills and forests of centuries old Oak trees draped with Spanish moss. Lush, rolling fairways lead to undulating greens that are protected by sharply defined, white sand bunkers. Water hazards come into play on three holes. The golf course has a traditional design but the dramatic elevation changes and picturesque landscape covered in azaleas, dogwoods, and magnolia trees really make it stand out. In addition to the two golf courses, World Woods also offers a nine-hole practice course and a circular, 20-acre driving range with target greens and practice bunkers.

This is me on one of the more difficult par 5's. If you play it and your a long ball, play it to the right fairway...You can make it...Lol.. Photo submitted by Robert5455343 on 11/16/2013

World Class Golf facility
These two courses should be on everyones bucket list. Great layouts, great condition tee to green and one of the best practice facilities you will find anywhere.
Excellent
Great course!
Had a great time! Was a single and paired with three other gentlemen. The course, Rolling Oaks, was in very good condition and well maintained. Good sand in traps. The only complaint is absents of ball washers. Beautiful course!
A Diamont in Florida
The layout is fantastic. The conditions are perfect. The greenfee was 55$. The course is better than many 150$ courses.
staff disappointment
We like the course, but no rangers to speed up the group in front of us or let us play thru. No beverage cart all day, which in Florida can be bad as you need to stay hydrated. Beyond the fact that the course is missing out on making money off the cart.
Resort Course
Ok ... but facilities dated. Wide open landing areas. Good well bunkered greens.
one of the best courses you can play in florida
I've played this course since it was opened, it is always in very good to excellent shape, it will test any player at all levels
First Time
This was the first time on this course, but we have played Pine Barrens, World Woods other course. Although the temps were in the 50s, with a strong wind from the north, the course was enjoyed by both of our foursomes. The par 5s, due to the wind, proved challenging, even from the white (front) tees. Many holes had bunkers placed in the front of greens, so don't plan on rolling on with a short shot.
The World Woods courses are rated as some of the top courses in Florida by golf magazines.
Generous lay out.
Very well maintained course, more than generous fairways. Plenty of traps with nice sand but mostly for beauty's sake. Great greens with great speed and true reads.
Nice!
We have played here before. Honestly, at the 'rack rate', I feel the course is way overpriced and to some extent overrated for the local area. If you can get a break (coupon, card, tee time service, etc.), then it should be included in your play list. And don't get me wrong, this is a very nice place to play, just not sure it deserves all the hype.
The course is is great shape. Greens are very undulating and you need to hit the correct level. Staff was extremely friendly.
We teed off late (30 min), as they were 'backed up' for some unknown reason. It was a somewhat slow front nine (2 1/4 hours). As we had an afternoon tee time, the ranger kept hinting we may wish to play the front nine again instead of the back nine. As we had played here before, we decided to do so and were able to get 18 in. I could see the back nine was a traffic jam and am not sure we would have finished had we decided to stay the course. I now wish the ranger could have OK'd us to move over the the front nine of Pine Barrens instead of a re-play of the same nine, that would have been great.
Anyway, it is a very good course and one should play if they can get on at a reasonable price.
Course is in very good shape!
I've played both courses here probably 4-5 times, and I always enjoy myself. While I've never seen either in "bad" shape, far from it, I found Rolling Oaks to be doing very well, even for its standards. Greens were rolling a little slower than I typically see, but we played late in the day so I wasn't totally surprised. I hadn't played in close to a year, and I completely forgot how challenging the greens can be! There were many times some in our group were coming up, over and around the undulations on some of the greens. It was very fun attempting and/or watching ourselves have a go at some of the putts.
1st Time at Rolling Oaks
I have played the Pine Barons course several times but this was my first time at Rolling Oaks. Both courses are in great condition compared to others in the area. Rolling Oaks is slightly easier but both are challenging.
Great deal through Golf Now vs regular course rates makes it a must play if your in the area and can get a deal. There are so many courses in the area for less than half the regular cost it can make it hard to justify if you can't get a deal. Both courses are great I think this one a little more player friendly and more attractive.
This course is great
Wow I died and went to heaven.I arrived early had time to kill so Gus the ranger drove me around different holes and explained how to play them. What curtesy and kindness.I will definetly play again.
great shape
good course,i do prefer pine barrons more this is more of a traditional florida course rolling fairways ,undulating greens.greens were a little on the slow side and it didn't help people not dragging their feet on the greens.
Fabulous bargain
5 star course at a 1 star price. Best bargain in the world at only 27.00 on Golfnow.com. Course is in fabulous shape. Played longer than yardage because of several days of heavy rains. Course takes the weather very well, but greens were slow. Just an awesome experience. Almost as tough as the Pine Barrens course which I played 2 years ago. Drive from anywhere to play these courses.
plush
This course is in amazing condition. It is more open than Pine Barrens. There is a lot of strategically placed sand traps. The traps are big but nice white sand to hit out of. If you want a well manicured course, this is it.
The course was great the special price was too
THEIR WAS NOT ONE THING I NEGATIVE ABOUT WORLD WOODS. GREAT CONDITION ,GREAT LAYOUT AND SUPER VALUE. IT'S 59 MILES FROM MY HOME,BUT I WILL GO THEIR EVERY CHANCE I GET !
Hard to beat a great day on the Rolling Oaks course
Conditions were near flawless as it has been every time I have played either course at World Woods. I favor the Rolling Oaks more because of the scenic views but both are great tracks. The only negatives this are the range balls are showing their age and our pace of play got held up a few times. If you are a golfer traveling through the Tampa area it's worth the trip to Brooksville to play both of these courses!
nice play.
Great course not the best amenities though.Overall good day of golf for the money.Thank you Golf now.
Invest in range balls
Greens rolled true. Fairway condition was excellent. Overall excellent course condition from tee to green. In fact this track looked better than Pine Barrens. Was disappointed with old beat up range balls.
