About
Candler Hills Golf Club in Ocala was designed by Florida native Gordon G. Lewis. In a state that has no shortage of golf courses, Candler Hills manages to stand out. The layout offers plenty of length at 7,233 yards from the back tees. The 662-yard fourth hole is the longest par 5 in Florida. There are no water hazards on the golf course, but what it lacks in water it more than makes up for in sand. Strategically placed traps line the fairways and greens. The layout has some challenging holes but it's fair and playable for all skill levels. Candler Hills G.C. is also well known for its extensive practice facility, which has a range with target greens placed at different yardages and a short-game area with a practice bunker and undulating green.

Always great. A must play course. The cart staff are cream of the crop. Real nice people.
Drink girl
Great course . A lot of sand but no water hazards . Fairways perfect, greens just punched , but they did call me and tell me about it , which i thought was great . But seriously such a nice club , you have to have a drink girl out there … pace of play . 4 people in 3 1/2 hours . Played green tees nice challenge at 6600 yards . You have to navigate through the bunkers . Overall great course and staff .
Great day at candler!
As always the course is beautiful and in great shape. They had aerated recently so the greens weren't perfect but that is to be expected. Thats why we got a great deal, I'm sure! Overall, candler never disappoints!
Unfriendly stafg
Stay away as the staff here is extremely snobby and rigid. Paid for 18 holes but the Ranger kicked us off after 6 holes. Was given a "rain check" for 9 holes but after returning... they insisted we had to pay for ALL 18 holes again.
Plush greens
Great golf course, several tee boxes for any level of golfer. The staff was extremely friendly when arriving and leaving the golf course. Very playable golf course, the greens were running at about a 9, a tad slow but kept that way for the elderly community that typically plays at this course. You could tell though that everything was properly maintained. The greens were a verticut and a rolling away from being ready for a tournament, no dead or bare spots to be found anywhere on the greens

This course never disappoints. Great greens that's what keeps me coming back time and time again. Thank you.
Candle Hills
Very nice golf course. Excellent greens and staff. I use to play this course a lot but this course and others have raised their prices to where you can not afford to play them as often.
Great course
LFantastic layout and greens in excellent shape. Overall, course is terrific. Pace of play was very slow and wait times were ridiculous. I stopped after 13 holes. Pace came to a halt
The course is always in great shape
Played twice that week. Both rounds were partnered up with members. They were very nice. Found the blue tees a bit short for my game and the green tees too long. Would be nice to have a combo between the 6000 yard blue and the 6500 green. I created my own.
