About
Candler Hills Golf Club in Ocala was designed by Florida native Gordon G. Lewis. In a state that has no shortage of golf courses, Candler Hills manages to stand out. The layout offers plenty of length at 7,233 yards from the back tees. The 662-yard fourth hole is the longest par 5 in Florida. There are no water hazards on the golf course, but what it lacks in water it more than makes up for in sand. Strategically placed traps line the fairways and greens. The layout has some challenging holes but it's fair and playable for all skill levels. Candler Hills G.C. is also well known for its extensive practice facility, which has a range with target greens placed at different yardages and a short-game area with a practice bunker and undulating green.

One of the best courses in Central Florida. Excellent staff, good pace of play, perfect greens, price is right, what more can be said? I'd give it a 10. Thanks!
The weather was good and the course in good condition.The pace of play was awful, the foursome in front of us extremely slow, took 2 1/2 hours to play 9 holes, had to wait on every shot.They should do better job of course management.I would play again and recommend playing.The greens were hard to putt, could not stop downhill putts.
Weather was very pleasant. Our fellow players were very nice.
Play It
Went as single player from golf now. Teamed with 3 others and had great round..letting group get off first green before tee off works very well for timing..great course and run well with tee times and management

Faraways - Weeds around the green and off of fairways let the stars rating go lower.
The greens are very healthy.
The tees are in great conditions.
Easy layout
Course is in grwat shape. One of the best in the area. Greens very godd and rolling nice. Good test of golf. Fun track. No water but pkenty of sand. Very fair yet challenging. Great all around course.
Candler is a winner
Great experience from start to finish. Wish I lived there.
Course is always great to play, the course let us play as a 5some which was nice until we catch up to a very slow 4some. the round took 5 Hr. and 40 Min. And it turned cold for seven holes of waiting. Couldn't wait to get in the car, pro shop closed when we got done. Wanted to buy a shirt, but because of the slow play could not.
Nice Layout, Very Friendly Staff
Greens in Great shape!
Fairways are lacking grass in some areas...
Bunkers have nice sand and well maintained.
Overall golf experience was very good
