About
Candler Hills Golf Club in Ocala was designed by Florida native Gordon G. Lewis. In a state that has no shortage of golf courses, Candler Hills manages to stand out. The layout offers plenty of length at 7,233 yards from the back tees. The 662-yard fourth hole is the longest par 5 in Florida. There are no water hazards on the golf course, but what it lacks in water it more than makes up for in sand. Strategically placed traps line the fairways and greens. The layout has some challenging holes but it's fair and playable for all skill levels. Candler Hills G.C. is also well known for its extensive practice facility, which has a range with target greens placed at different yardages and a short-game area with a practice bunker and undulating green.

Great course, Spectacular fairways
It was a great day overall for singles met up on GolfNow and had a great time course is in fantastic shape greens are a little slow but very nice and the fairways are as I said spectacular. Overall it was a great day I will definitely be back
Very nice course
Other than the greens being a little slow, the course is in great condition. Lots of sand and not much water.
Great course in very good shape. Fall work showing up now in condition. Greens perfect. Fairways very good. Good layout. Always a go to course.
User friendly and a great value!
This course is a great value with a good layout, exceptionally smooth greens, and very user-friendly wide fairways. Unlike most Florida courses the wide fairways and lack of water hazards greatly reduces the number of lost balls. I made it around the 18 holes using only 1 ball!
Great features!
Everyone was friendly and all following COVID protocol except the check in person at bag drop was not wearing a mask. Course was in great condition for having recently verti cut the fairways and loved the electric carts ! Greens were smooth but with definite breaks and difficulty. Would play here again!
course was in good condition, greens were good, fairways ok.Pace of play good, definitely good value for your money..Would recommend playing.
Very nice course
First course that told me I had to have golf cart back by 6:00. Slow play did not allow us to finish our round.
JUST GO PLAY THERE!
Tees, greens, and traps excellent. Fairways need more grass in places. Move the ball everywhere and enjoy this wonderful track.
