Candler Hills Golf Club

Pace of play was a touch on the slow side but man is this course pure. Perfect conditions, no oversees, greens are smooth and quick. Superintendent deserves a raise for the outstanding condition of the course.

Good track and pace of play. Open but bunkers are in play. Paired up with great twosome. Great morning of golf.

As a visitor from the Northeast, this was a real treat for the price we paid. I've played 5 other courses the past 7 days and this was the best. It was VERY nice to see how serious the course was taking COVID.

Had a good time playing here. The course in general is in good shape. The greens rolled nice. Will definitely be back. Wish there was a course like this in gainsville. Sucks having to drive an hour for a good course.

One of the nicest courses in the Ocala area and I've played it many times. Bottom line is when rangers are present and doing their job pace of play is acceptable and when they are not you often run into (literally) people who are either clueless of golf etiquette or just plain @$$h0les. Foursome today with no one in sight in front of them backing up groups that tee'd off 30+ minutes behind them (we ran into them on hole 11 and by hole 14 there were 3 groups backed up. By hole 16 there were at least 4). No excuse especially since they appeared to be decent players. The inability to play ready golf, having 3 carts watching and not preparing for their own shots and atrocious pace of play on the greens ruined everyone else's day. Here's a hint, while the three of you are congregating on the edge of the green while the fourth one of you putts instead of standing at your ball being ready to go, take a look back down the fairway and if you see a group ready to approach and three more waiting on the tee box then you're taking too long.

Great course, great layout, Unfortunately we caught up to a very slow foursome on the 13th hole which made the rest of the day kind of brutal!!!!!!

My first time to play Candler Hills. I am a member of a club just down the road but have heard good things about Candler so I gave it a look - not disappointed. I was greeted at the bag drop by name and checked in by the assistant pro. I made a fourth in a threesome of buddies - really nice guys. The practice areas are in super condition. Fairways are generous (and in good shape) even though sand was in play on almost every tee shot. I heard there are 88 bunkers; I found one off the tee and three around the greens. Sand was perfect. Rough is relatively short and easy to play out of. The greens are nearly perfect (I would guess around a ten on the stemp meter) and are quite large with plenty of elevation changes. Loved the few hills this course offers. The pace of play was surprisingly quick at 3:50 for my foursome. The ranger came around twice to ensure pace was maintained. I really appreciated all the staff and will definitely come back. This course will not beat you up, no water hazards. All in all it was quiet enjoyable.

Was in fantastic condition fairways plush greens quick. Can’t wait to play it again
