About
Candler Hills Golf Club in Ocala was designed by Florida native Gordon G. Lewis. In a state that has no shortage of golf courses, Candler Hills manages to stand out. The layout offers plenty of length at 7,233 yards from the back tees. The 662-yard fourth hole is the longest par 5 in Florida. There are no water hazards on the golf course, but what it lacks in water it more than makes up for in sand. Strategically placed traps line the fairways and greens. The layout has some challenging holes but it's fair and playable for all skill levels. Candler Hills G.C. is also well known for its extensive practice facility, which has a range with target greens placed at different yardages and a short-game area with a practice bunker and undulating green.

Always a great Course to Play for the Money
This is a great course for the money, great condition and layout. Played with two other guys that made the day great!
Great course ,lots of sand bunkers
Great golf course , tee boxes ,fairways and greens in great condition . I believe they put the small cups in that day a I sure putted a lot !

Golf course was in excellent condition. Great variety of holes in both length and direction. Bring your “A” game especially regarding your bunker play and putting. With 88 well placed bunkers, chances are you will be in a few...

Friendly Staff Make the D
Quality course in good condition. Would of been a fine day of golf except for the outside staff. Unusually friendly reception and farewell, help with directions to practice and the first tee, and even recommendations for restaurants made us feel welcome and made the day and Candler Hills one to remember.

Played with some good golfers and it was fun. Cannot ask for more. A bit slow at times and but not too much. Played in about 4 hours
The Best
As always, the nicest pro shop staff, cart guys, and lastly what a wonderful golf course. I'm just getting back to the game after a two year layoff and the people I was paired with were just wonderful - thanks Candler for a great day!
Nice Course
Course was in excellent condition. Greens and fairways were in nice condition. There is not any water on the course but there are plenty of sand traps.
Great place
Great Place, choose your degree of difficulty (5 tees), friendly staff, helpful rangers on course and of course it was a beautiful day.
Fun and Challenging
Play Candler a few times a month and always enjoy it, just fun to play. You can step back to the deeper tees and make it very challenging or play up for more fun, very friendly lay out for the ladies also. You’ll play this one more than once!!!
