Bear Creek Golf Complex - Bear Course

Course was in very good shape tee to green. Staff always friendly. Wish they had water on the course, though.

Course was in great shape. Staff were great. Pace on front nice was perfect then we hit the wall to start back nine. Quit after 12 holes because of the snails pace.

Course is in great condition, greens were fast. This is a good course to know where to miss. Will for sure be back!

Not a bad course. Not nearly worth the price they charge. A lot of dirt spots in the fairway and not really any scenic views besides 18. Not bad, but if you’re gonna spend the money to play a premier course, there’s a lot better out there.

First time there. Staff super friendly. Choose was in good shape though greens kind of beat. Definitely will play here again. Great pace for a busy Sunday

Bear Creek was in great shape and the staff was pleasant from the Pro Shop to the Starter and Ranger. Had some rain and wind halfway through the round, but it didn't affect the pace of play, which was right at 4 hours.

As a 2-some we were forced to play behind a slow, inconsiderate 4-some. They were always one hole behind the group in front of them, but wouldn't offer to let us play thru. And, there was no one behind us. The 4-some were labelled "regulars" by the starter and the starter said they played fast. A big lie. The course had no rangers. Typical Arizona golf: exorbitant pricing of green fees = slow, inconsiderate golfers.

Third time playing and I finally broke 90 from the white tees as they play long, with a couple 400+ yard par 4’s! This is a course that you can play endlessly…I remember hole 9 was a super long par 4, maybe the #1 handicap. I had several 3 putts which isn’t standard and the sand was very playable.

No GPS on cart but it came with a cooled loaded with ice, very nice!

Hot deal, with the other member discounts, put my total cost at $56 *this was good value. I look forward to playing it often before I return home trying to break 80! If I can do it with my 10 index handicap they day will be rememberable.

I say play it. I don’t believe it will disappoint as it offers a good mix of easy and hard holes.

Enjoy and remember the 6,000 yards plays like 6,400 and I’m not sure why?

This course is very over priced for the conditions of the greens, lack of fairways and tee boxes. Not visually appealing at any point. No GPS in carts. The practice facility was nice but could have used yardage markers to help judge distance to the poles in the driving range. I will not play again unless it is half the cost or free.

Course was in decent shape, but they’re in dire need of marshals on the course to keep pace of play reasonable.

First time playing the championship course and I would not rush back. Very large range but somehow very limited range space the day & time we played. Many tees surfaces seem uneven, and beaten up. Seems overpriced for what it is.

Several years ago I played the blue tees and Bear Creek won. Thanks God I remembered the 6,400 yards player super long. Yesterday I played the white tees at just under 6,000 yards and it was plenty with wind gusting at about ~15 mph. The course offers a wide open true championship conditions where the greens were fast, and softer than most, fair and consistent but do offer a golfer a lifetime challenge. The Bear Complex offers driving range, practice putting and chipping. Carts do not have GPS but cart paths, signage, on course refreshments and personal cooler with ice on the cart were all available and in good condition.

Fun day great course and I hope to play it often during my extended stay. Also I plan to try Bear Cub their executive course, it looked awesome and just as challenging!

Play it! It won’t disappoint at under $100 in peak season!
