Bear Creek Golf Complex - Bear Course

About
The Bear Course is one of two courses at the Bear Creek Golf Complex; it is a championship-length course while the other, the Cub Course, is an executive length course. The Bear Course is an inland, links-style course with rolling fairways and well-manicured greens. Strategically placed bunkers situated throughout the course add some challenge to the course. A round of golf on this course can be played in less than four hours. The Bear Creek Golf Complex, in addition to the two courses, also offers a full grass driving range, two putting greens, and a short game area with a bunker.

Nice Course Overall
Course was in great shape overall. Checkin staff and bag boys were friendly as well. The Marshal threw off our vibe on hole 1 with his nasty demeaner. Would not go back because of him. Also, bar closed around 3 on a Saturday which felt weird since we just wanted a cold one after a hot round.
Saturday
Good round. 3 some front of us struggled to hold pace on the front. They picked it up on the back 9.
Tees and fairways are in great shape. Greens had a few thin spots but pin positions avoided them.
Continuously Better
Arrive: Outside service very welcoming and efficient. Prepare: Respect for your tee time, no rushing you out to get their "cushion". Starter: Helpful, consistent. Marshall: No lectures, helpful, nothing like "there's two holes ahead of you" when there's nobody on your tail. Cart lady: frequent, Inside service: Incomparable. Food great. Beverage choices: plentiful. 19th Hole: Inside or out, it's time to relax and watch the rookies comie in.. The Bear rocks!
Hidden Gem
If you like friendly courses but prestine condition this is the one for you.
You can shoot low and your ball won’t get lost:)
Big fan of the grass condition in the peak of the summer:)
No drinking water on the course.
1 star review for any course that has zero drinking water on the course. They have a construction style jug in the pro shop to fill up between 9’s, but that’s it. Cart girl sells water bottles, not handing out for free. Just can’t imagine how this decision is made by course management.
The course policy prevented us from getting fair refund amount due to lightening stoppage and caused us to lose money on our round. The staff was not courteous at all and saw multiple customers getting very frustrated due to loss of money on their rounds because of play stoppage due to lightning. Not a happy customer!!

Thank you for your feedback and we apologize for the inconvenience caused to you. We are always willing to offer a rain check and I'm surprised our Golf Shop Staff wouldn't have done so. Please feel free to contact us directly and we'll be happy to further understand your challenges.
Thank you,
Bear Creek Management
Hey, you're playing golf!
Course was in great shape and other than having to wait on almost every tee box, it was a nice day!
Good course to play, I would play again
Greens are fast and stick..
Its target golf but has enough room for error and to really drive the ball.
It is the hot season so getting on was easy but don't mess around.. hydrate and sun block..
Amazing Greens
I would venture to say that the greens on the bear course rolled the best of any course I've played in this price range. I would very much play there again.
