About
The Bear Course is one of two courses at the Bear Creek Golf Complex; it is a championship-length course while the other, the Cub Course, is an executive length course. The Bear Course is an inland, links-style course with rolling fairways and well-manicured greens. Strategically placed bunkers situated throughout the course add some challenge to the course. A round of golf on this course can be played in less than four hours. The Bear Creek Golf Complex, in addition to the two courses, also offers a full grass driving range, two putting greens, and a short game area with a bunker.

The starter inform us as the time for 9 holes is 2 Hrs and we had just that playing foursome, than some staffer driving by told us to speed up , not sure what this was all about?? no group behind us waited on our group!!
The course was in pretty good condition for this time of year. Greens were excellent, putted well, good speed, smooth. Some areas of the fairways and green surrounds were wet, I assume from watering to reestablish the bermuda grass, but still playable. We enjoyed the day.
Great Golf
But can you believe it, we were rained out after 11 holes. Unusual for Arizona

We enjoyed playing here and would do it again. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Course was fun.
Good Day at the Bear
Good day for golf and the course was in good condition. Greens were fast and pin placement made the course tough.
Pace of play was not good. We had four groups on the 16th hole. A marshal or "player assist" came around to check on us but since we were the last of the four groups he was talking to the wrong people if his intention was to speed things up. Prices are high. There are other nice courses close by that have dropped their rates so shop around.
Good round but weekends have slow play
I like this course, it’s fairly forgiving and in good condition, but pace was slow on a Saturday. I have played it in four hours or less on a weekday but Saturday it was 4 1/2+
Course conditions
Great shape and pace was on time if not ahead of pace. Staff very friendly and not a lot of amenities on the course.
