About
The Bear Course is one of two courses at the Bear Creek Golf Complex; it is a championship-length course while the other, the Cub Course, is an executive length course. The Bear Course is an inland, links-style course with rolling fairways and well-manicured greens. Strategically placed bunkers situated throughout the course add some challenge to the course. A round of golf on this course can be played in less than four hours. The Bear Creek Golf Complex, in addition to the two courses, also offers a full grass driving range, two putting greens, and a short game area with a bunker.

Fun, but needs work.
Had a good round in the heat. They didn’t keep ice in the coolers, greens had been aerated recently( which I understand). Club house food took almost an hour for a BLT. The landscape around the course is not very pleasing to the eye.
Fun course, bad manners
We arrived at the first tee 2 minutes before our tee time. Our 4th dropped out, so when the starter told us we needed to wait for the 4th, we were confused. He very rudely informed us a 4th would be joining us, which is fine, just very unfriendly how he said it. The group in front of us must have been sent out early, never saw them, even from the first tee. By the 4th hole, the Marshall is asking us why we're so far behind? We informed him that we aren't, the group behind us was always on the previous holes green while we were on our green. He literally followed us around the course for 3 holes. Our round was over in less than 4 hours. No reason for such rude behavior from the on course staff. The ladies in the pro shop and clubhouse were very nice.
Course was in good shape. Green’s were a little slow. As they were punched about a week ago. Over all I will play again.
Surprisingly Nice Fairways & Greens
Surprisingly nice fairways & greens especially for July! Beverage cart girl was great! Only recommendations would be new carts & to make sure the tee box markers are moved every day. Carts were awful. They are gas carts that can barely make it up hills. We even saw 2 carts die on the course; which is weird because they are gas LOL. Tee boxes seemed to be pretty chewed up for teeing off before 7 am. I assume they just weren’t moved from the day before.
Punch Greens & 9 hole only
Unfortunately, we arrived with no notification that greens were just punched, and only the front 9 was open. Good news is the new pro shop manager was kind enough to only charge us the 9 hole rate since we didn’t know greens were punched and had to play the front 9 twice.
I absolutely love this track, the amenities, the people and the music! Unfortunately they have to do maintenance. Will be a (Dobson) Ranch Card member once course comes back online.
Course design is great with 3 par 5s on the front!
