FarmLinks at Pursell Farms

With no marshall to keep people moving groups of 6 and 8 were playing together. Really slowing down the pace of play.

Farm Links has been on my bucket list for a couple years and really enjoyed my round there.everything was top notch and well worth the greens fees.

Beautiful course with tons of room off the tee and some very interesting holes with a lot of variety throughout. The par 3s are quite dramatic and, in some cases, play significantly downhill. The par 5s are rather straightforward and do not require a ton of strategy (hit it as far as you can) and I found the par 4s to have the most variability. This is one of the most enjoyable rounds of golf I have played given the fact that you can be a little loose off the tee and still have a good angle into most greens. The fairways were in excellent condition. The bunkers were a little washed out (particularly on hole 17) and I was surprised how many golfers had clearly not fixed their pitchmarks as most of the greens were quite marked up. The greens were slowish and did not break a great deal which I actually enjoyed because you could be rather aggressive with your putts. Love this course and if they got people to fix their ballmarks I would say it is a perfect golf experience.

The course is open and easy to scramble in if you miss hit. Conditions are excellent.

Farmlinks at Pursell Farms is an unbelievable place. The course is fairly playable but with tee options that can challenge even the biggest hitters. The course is always in tip top condition and the practice facility is best in class. After the round you'll definitely miss out if you don't go by the Inn where the pub is and have a cocktail or cold beer -- the place is as nice as every exclusive country club I've ever been too.

The clubhouse advertised a Bar-B-Que lunch and when we finished at 3:00 there was no food.

Farmlinks is a very nice course with excellent facilities. There is a very nice practice area with range, putting green and sand traps. The course is open with wide fairways and very nice views. The only criticism I have is that the greens were a little slow. I would definitely play here again. It is one of the nicer courses I have played. It is comparable in quality to the RTJ courses in AL.

Played this beauty on a trip to Destin Fl from NC. A buddy convinced me to head towards Birmingham on my way home- So glad I did!!!! Better than most - if not all of the Trent Jones Trail courses - peaceful- beautiful- serene!!! Coming back in the fall with group of 16!!! Please note- I live in Pinehurst NC & appreciate world class golf- Farm Links is worth the hastle of getting there!!!

I would pay the money to play this course. It’s worth every penny

Great course and facility. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. I rated the course as 4 star due to the poor condition of sand traps. I was surprised at the lack of sand and washed out condition. Of the traps.

This is a great place for a guy trip. We rented one of the cabins for a weekend and it is top notch. This was our second trip. Expensive all around so be prepared. The course quality is awesome. The fairways were incredible. Very tight cut. Greens were true. Covid did takeaway from the overall service because there was less interaction with staff this year.
