The Classic Club

We had a good time for relaxing even we had a bad golf score. Nice course!!

I have always loved Classic Club. The course is fantastic, the staff is friendly and helpful, and they give good value with a towel, lunch coupon and special price on Pro V1s. Unfortunately, they have let the course condition deteriorate and it really detracts from the experience. They didn’t overseed any of the rough and it’s like hard pan if you get off the fairway. Other maintenance seems to have been shortchanged as well. As much as I’ve always loved it, I can’t recommend it in its current condition.

Very well organized operation. Enjoyed the variance of the holes. Great lunch afterwards. Staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Enjoyed the day very much.

The longer more difficult holes were easy to read but challenging to approach. The greens fast, true and hard. The shorter holes is where he really challenges you. A lot of the fairways were cut so that a decent shot would not get held up by any rough and end up in the water...

The course is in immaculate condition, the staff really attentive, and the day was perfect...

Classic golf is an annual favorite for us and the course is a great track. Interesting and challenging golf set with beautiful views of the mountains. The wind can always be a factor here it makes the course even more Challenging. Always worth while playing.

Been a few years since I played the CC but it does not disappoint. The course is a great layout very creative with a great combination of long and short holes. There were some small grass issues around but the greens were terrific. The free meal is not to be missed. Great breakfast sandwiches and burritos, best around.

This has always been one of our fave PS courses. Very disappointed with our recent visit. Course condition has really fallen off. Fairway perimeters have been burned off. Greens have new turf around edges. Im sure this is the reality of many courses where water mgmt is nb to survive. Desert Willow is a WAY better choice, I'm sad to report.

This is our second time playing the Classic Club and it was just as wonderful as the last time. The course is in great shape, greens were fast but fair. The back nine is really laid out well and you would never know you were in the desert, if you don’t look up at the gorgeous desert and mountain views that is. It’s very green.

Staff was great and very helpful. Added bonus of free golf towels and a food and beverage coupon make it a great deal.

Very nice layout. Interesting holes with no two exactly alike. Excellent condition. With the rough not overseeded balls will run to the water. Greens were realty nice.

Pace of play was good and drink cart was by every two or three holes as they had one on each nine.

To me a Typical Troon course, very good course, very good condition, slightly over priced.

A thoroughly enjoyable round of golf.

I have played many courses in the area over the years, but struggled to get a tee time here. It was worth the wait. This is my new favorite course anywhere. It's a beautiful layout in great condition and played at a good pace (marshals were vigilant in ensuring people kept up). Lots of water so not for the fainthearted, but I will definitely play this course whenever I can get on!

First the positives, the staff and clubhouse are very nice. In years past, the course was always immaculate. Today, however, the course was a real disappointment. Poor conditioning, slow pace of play and rangers that just drove around. Set back from of the holes we’re camping spots. Maybe an indication that the Classic Club is facing tough times. No water is available on the course save 4 bottles of water on the course. Not enough when playing in warmer weather. This had been an annual favorite. This course will dropped from our rotation unless we hear that it’s restored to its prior lushness.

Great layout with water everywhere. Not for the faint of heart. I have played all the public courses in the valley and this is clearly the hardest and best.

Not sure what I was expecting but this course exceeded it. Beautiful views, great layout, and I was matched up with another single and a couple that had played the course before. Played on a holiday, which apparently means that they run a shotgun start so the staff can enjoy at least half a day off. Kind of tells you a lot about the management here. They care about their staff and they treat their guests very well. There are outstanding views on every hole, and as long as you pick the correct tees, this course will be challenging to all levels of golfer. Greens can be tricky to read, but run true..... don't get above the hole or it will be a long day. Will definitely be back

This course is a must play, the fairways and greens were flawless. The pictures of the course on the net do not do it justice. Its filled with perfect sand traps filled with YES, perfect sand!. The greens were a 12 the day i played and smooth, The tee boxes were lush and flat. My only regret was that the round was over.

There was a reason this course was in the rotation for the Bob Hope Classic. It is a great track and can be very challenging when there is wind. It has great shot values, is in superb condition and the Troon staff model is in full force, they are top tier!
