Perfect conditions every time we play. requires shot making . Challenging risk reward shot choices on every hole. Every hole is different, use every club in the bag! Classic course is so mush fun and entertaining to serious golfers!

Hit it easy. Didn't help me today. There was steady 15-20 mph winds with gusts to 30. Very trying day on a nice track. The course was quite wet as well. Virtually every hit fairway left a big chunk of mud on the ball. Greens were a bit hard as well but they putted very true. This is a nice track in the desert but it can eat you up when the wind is up. But course maintenance is great, the people are friendly and helpful, the fees are a great value and their off-course amenities are first rate. I'd recommend this to anyone. Just don't have any misconceptions that you're going to shoot your handicap if the wind is up.

Let’s begin with the fact that there are no homes on the golf course. It is a great layout and when the wind is blowing you have to think through the course. The tee boxes, fairways are like carpets. The green is a bit crusty and takes time to get used to. The course amenities are great: tees, ball markers, yardage book, bottled water on every 3 holes. The staff is friendly and pace of play is good. Will play again!!

I feel this course looks like an Alpine scenery in the middle of the desert. The holes are set out wonderfully with plenty of challenges. I felt the greens were near perfect. The only downside was hard packed bunkers

My husband and I do like playing Classic Club when we can get on. It is quite popular. They unfortunately let us have a tee time just ahead of a big shotgun start tournament, so play was not the usual Troon managed pace but not horrible. Good conditions, excellent greens, and plenty of strategic decisions to be made out there.

Excellent course.. great layout... bunkers needs work and they will be redone this summer.. overall the course is excellent.. fairways and rough were very good and the greens were smooth and medium fast... one of the best courses I have played in my 30 years of golf travels.. if you are in the Palm Springs area don’t miss this gem!!!

Troon Golf Management should be totally embarrassed over the conditions of the greenside bunkers on this otherwise beautiful golf course.

There is barely 1 inch of sand on top of hard pan or standing water and mud.

Our group decided to declare all the greenside bunkers GUR because they were impossible to play out of with any hope of a good shot.

Troon should bite the bullet and close down for a couple of weeks and rework/rebuild all of the bunkers.

We played at a reduced rate because I am a member of a Troon managed private club. It was overpriced by double even then. I can't imagine paying the $155 rack rate while this course is in this condition. PLAY SOMEWHERE ELSE!

I've been trying 2-3 new courses over my last 4-5 trips to the PS area. This year Classic Club made the rotation and all I can say is Wow! I wish I would've tried this one sooner. What a great treat!

Course is a solid layout and was in incredible shape. The bunkers were indeed in need of some help, but otherwise what a fabulous track to play. Top notch experience from arrival to departure and a great day of golf.

It is challenging but fair, and has pretty much every nuance of the game covered. I was able to use most of my bag which is always fun. Might be a tad pricey for some but worth it at least once. Play it!

I had heard so many great reports on this course and I finally got around to playing it this month ... twice. I do really like the course layout and the staff are fantastic. However, the bunkers are virtually unplayable. The sand has compressed (likely due to the record rainfall this winter) and is basically hardpan with a 1/2 inch of sand on that hardpan. They know it and are apologetic but you are paying a hefty price to play a course where the bunkers are really GUR.

Great track, but water is very easy to find. More sand is needed in traps but overall fun day.

Great day and conditions for play. Course was in excellent shape with a great layout and challenge. Play your tees and it will be a fun day! Lunch afterwards had just a bit slow for service but still very good food.

This was my first time playing a course I had heard so much about. It exceeded my expectations. As great as the course was, the staff and service overall were the highlight. I brought a guest out who could not stop being impressed. The Classic Club is my new favourite in the desert.

Very disappointed in the pace of play at the course today. It’s not a good sign when you have 3 groups sitting on a tee box but when it happens on multiple holes you know your day is lost. Apologies from the starter were accepted but there is no excuse for this.

The golf was beautiful and well maintained. You need to play it a few times to understand the nuances. There is a fair amount of trouble.

Golf course was in great shape, bunkers were not up to usual standard. Said they were going to redo them over the next few months. Course is beautiful very challenging but fun. I’m about a 10 handicap and blue tees were as much as I would want to handle. Would suggest maybe combo tees between white and blue.
