Shadow Hills Golf Club

I Played from the back tees and I found the course challenging enough for a better player (I play to an 8 index). Plenty of opportunities to find trouble. Not a fan of the grass used on the greens (not sure what it is called but is the wider bladed, flat lying type) but I know this type is used on courses located in hot environments. Very good value. It was calm the day I played but I know it can get windy on the north side of I10.

The course fairways had a lot of turf issues, marked as such, but ugly. Several bunkers had hardly any sand, just dirt. I think if you are going to have bunkers, they need to be maintained, especially greenside ones. It was a basic residential golf course, straight forward design, houses were not obtrusive for us. Greens were in good condtion and had some contours to make one think. Staff was cognizant of and took steps to maintain pace of play. Overall, it was a fun day of exercise and golf with gorgeous weather.

The course was in excellent shape and I had the good fortune to play it on a day with very little wind. Got a great price through GolfNow. Played the front as a single and didn't catch up to anyone until the 9th hole. Waited on the 10th tee for a single in front of me; paired up with him on the 11th tee. We were stuck behind two foursomes from 11 on who needed 2 or 3 shots to get out of our range from the tee. Would have been nice if the folks ahead would have let us play through.

Very enjoyable experience. Returned next day.

Pace of play was pretty good, only 4 hours 30 minutes.

Played the front 9 of the par 3 course today. It's a beautiful layout and the course was in great condition except for the sand traps which were very hard. Hope they get some real sand in the traps. Will definitely play this course again.

We were a party of three playing this course for the first time. We did not realize it was a shotgun start, but that made it a fun new experience as everyone hit the driving range. An announcement was made when it was time to head to your assigned starter hole. We started in 14 which gave us time to warm up before hitting the long par 5's.

The course was very fun to play. It was in great condition and we felt as though we had the whole course to ourselves, never ran into another group! The fairways are wide open, there are several challenging bunkers and a fair amount of water. I played the front tees which had quite an advantage over the white where my husband played. I would definitely play here again. As a newer golfer, this experience left me with the feeling that I want to keep getting better! The shotgun start was a fun twist that made me feel part of the course community.

Enjoyed the round. The traps need to be redone. Sand was rock hard in some. Other than that I would definetly go back.

Enjoyed the round, nice track with great greens. Practice facilities are excellent and we're able to get around in 4 hours as 4some. Nothing tricky about layout so as first time player it was easy to make club choice off tee, don't need driver off the tee on a number of holes. Enjoyed the views and layout, great find for intermediate golfer.

This course is fun to play - great layout and holes are fair despite some bunker and water challenges. We were lucky to get a last-minute deal - the course was not busy so we completed our round in 3 hr and 20 min - loved it! It is playable for all levels of golfers as there are several tee choices. The only minor flaw is that some of the fairways have a few dry patches, but these are not much of a factor. The greens are in good shape, very fair and run true. We definitely will play this course again!

This course is a joy to play due to water and terrain features. Can be played by any golfer because you may choose the tees that fits your game. The price I got was outstanding compared to courses in the area. I will be playing there many times . The staff is very helpful. I played the South course.

I grabbed a hot deal for this one, just to try something new. Was glad I did. Staff were excellent, course was in very good condition, and pace of play was, overall, good. Started at 2:15 and finished at 6:00 -- with just enough light left to par 18! There was also a course ambassador making regular rounds, which helped to keep things moving along.
