Beautiful course
Very nice course. Course was beautiful, and everything was in tip top shape. My only complaint was that it was very windy when we played, but that's probably because of how open it is out there. With a Hot Deal, got it for about $33, which isn't a bad deal at all for how nice of a course it is. I would definitely recommend this course to everyone! If you're new to golf, the course could be a little difficult. I've only been playing for 2 years, and shot a 25 over.
Don't miss out on this track!!
I've played this course multiple times now and it's always in great condition and the staff is great. It's absolutely worth the drive and best bang for the buck in the Louisville area!!!
More golf, less profit
First, I want to say that this course is a nice layout. It's challenging, but fair. The fairways are wide enough that you don't feel paralyzed on the tee box, but danger does lurk. The sand traps are the coolest traps I have ever played and I have played all the courses (even Valhalla) in Kentucky and southern Indiana. The fairways are ok, but seem to be under a bit of healing. Should be better as the season moves along. Same with greens.
The problem is that this is a profit driven course. It's almost like being in a busy line at a amusement park. They are churning out tee times and have rangers running around warning people about slow play when no one is behind you. PC skills are needed to ensure guests feel welcome rather than factory workers in china. I assume this comes from the fact that this is a casino course, profit rules.
This is how I imagine a trump course plays. Nice course, but it's about money, not giving golfers a solid experience.
Best course in S. IN
By far the best course in S. IN. In great shape every time I play. In peak season, greens & fairways comparable to Valhalla. For the $$ it cannot be beat. Always great GolfNow deals & since it's a little off the beaten path, pace of play is never slow. I would recommend it over any course in Louisville or S. IN
Solid early season course
Greens recently aerated, but recovering nicely. Did not really affect roll or line on putts.
Pretty straightforward except for holes 1, 6, and 17 - a little course knowledge helps for distances off the tee.
Have heard greens run fast - would like to see it once in full season.
Great Course
Only bad thing was greens had just been aerated. Still better greens then some places I have played. Fairways and rough are in great shape. Nice driving range and practice area.
Great course
Challenging course, greens are very subtle, and can be VERY quick. I've played all over the country and feel that this is one of my favorites.
Can't say enough about how good this course is always good shape all times of the year lot of fun to play fast greens all year ball runs true come play.
chariot in february
course was in great shape considering its the middle of February. Greens were in excellent condition even a bit fast.
Great golf course!
Nice tee boxes and proper fairways. Course obstacles seem to be at the right positions to make play from any of the tees a little more interesting. If you hit into the rough be prepared to drop, I found only 1 out of the 3 I hit into the rough. The greens are very fast requiring short game risk/reward shots to be thoughtfully executed.
fast greens
the greens was in great condition quick course was in great condition
Fall golf
Course was in great shape and staff is always top notch, Greens are showing lot of play.
Group in front must have been playing for a grand a hike and would not let a twosome play thru. Not the courses fault. Great place to play
Links Done Right
Chariot Run is a must play. The greens are big and fast and the layout is interesting with a great mix of holes. The staff is wonderful and clearly a high priority is put on maintainence and customer service.
Excellent smooth greens and nice fairways
Always enjoy playing Chariot Run! It's a hidden gem just far enough from Louisville Metro area that the course is not that busy most days ... Course is well maintained, a great layout, smooth/fast greens. And it feels like you're playing links golf .. Beautiful views !! Good driving range provided and the staff is friendly !!
All good
2 thumbs up , such a beautiful golf course
Outstanding Track
Chariots run is my favorite local course. Always in great condition and the greens are fabulous. A must play if your in the area.
Rainy Windy Day still good golf
Unfortunately, I hit this course on a rainy, windy day. Even so I enjoyed the round. The course is more of a "links style" and I would have enjoyed some roll on the fairways but not to be with heavy rain at times. Still course was in good shape and the greens were fast. Worth the drive if you are ever in Southern Indiana.
Great track
An awesome inland links layout. Greens are hard, fast and roll very true. Very challenging layout.
