Chariot Run

Get the golfnow deal if you can. Best under $30 round I've ever experienced. Course is closed on Mondays and on a Tuesday course was in top notch shape - all areas including the sand traps even with all the rain. Greens running smooth - 10 plus stimp and some of the best greens I've ever seen in regards condition/smoothness and interesting slopes (which are easily readable). I don't give 5 star ratings unless they are truly deserved. In the middle of nowhere this track worth the trip. Holes 12 through 17 most picturesque......the only issue was a 12 oz can of beer cost $5.....pretty expensive but minor in comparison to the great golf course/conditions.

Good condition. If I can get a any good deal wit uh this course, I will play again and again.

The only thing it should do is put up signs how to get there. There was only one sign that we saw.

Excellent course that is always in great condition. Fairways are plush and greens are well maintained. Excellent value for the money. Only reason I don't play it more is the distance is 30 miles from my house.

The Course was in it's usual good shape, but the greens are finishing healing from a mini punch last week. So the greens were slow today Only running around 10, that is really slow for this place. Normal speed is 11.5

I love playing this course and twenty seven dollars was a great deal. It is a beautiful course and I will definitely be back soon.

Almost always in great condition. Greens are nicely quick and the short holes are exellent. Good variety of par 4s and the 5 pars are a good challenge. Two super, driveable par 4s. All you want to tackle from the tips. Staff is homey friendly. Too bad it's out in the Boonies. Great value for a very good course. A+

Found the course by accident - real test of golf........the conditions were immaculate the green speed fast/perfect. Look forward to playing it again - requires a bit of course knowledge to score your best though. Great value for the course........thanks

I used every club in my bag. From the blue tees which is about 6,700 yards, it was agood test of golf. I have a 7 handicap and shot 82. This was the first time playing this course and local knowledge should improve your score. I hope to play here several times more this summer.

Good course just dont play on Tuesdays since thats the senior day.

Worth the drive to the course, open and the wind always blows

We were up on a Tuesday morning. It was not fairly crowded, but we had 5 foursomes right in front of us. The pace was maddeningly slow. The round took over 5 hours. We complained to the clubhouse at the turn, and found out it was the marshall's day off.

The course is gorgeous. Everything was in great shape. The greens were slower than normal, but that will pick up over summer.

Pros:
Greens great for 4/13,range very nice, son said traps good , fun layout, no cookie cutter holes, no houses. out in country by it's self.
Cons:
Need more yardage markers or GPS on carts, hard to tell pin placements, even red ,white and blue flags would have been great help on up hill shots.

We played course under some rainy conditions and with golf now we where able to get a great rate. It is worth the drive and the staff is great

This course has it all. Water, Elevation, Excellent fairways and Greens. Allways in Pristine Condition. Give yourself a treat. Play this course as Often as Possible..

I have treated myself to a 1/2 rounds at Chariot for some years. It is typically in pristine condition and manicured to the max. Because it is remote and somewhat expensive, it is easy to get a tee time, and the pace of play is great. Believe the clientele are primarily single digit handicappers. The amenities and staff make you feel like you are in a private club.
Unfortunately yesterday, the course was in horrible shape, under construction, airiated greens that have not yet healed, plugged fairways, etc. Wish I had and should have called ahead to inquire about the conditions before investing in a long ride.

First tee time-played as threesome in three hours,courses in great condition,excellent speed on greens.Fair design,need to keep ball in fairways-rough is difficult.Nice mix of length on par threes, and par fours are the strength of the design.A well designed, very well conditioned course that is a nice test of golf skills. mid handicappers would be well advised to tee it forward a box to aid pace of play.Staff was very accomodating, I arrived early before shop opened and set up crew got me a bag of range balls to loose n up until pro shop opened.Links style with great fall views of fescue in fall colors.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The course condition was very good with only a few areas needing attention. Greens were slicker than I'm used to playing on, but the ball rolls true.
