Worth the drive
Course is very nice, lots of risk / reward holes. The pace of play was excellent, despite looking for several ball in the tall grass. Very friendly staff
Best in Area
I've never played this course and it not been in great shape. From tee boxes to greens, you won't find a better course within 40 miles of Louisville. And the Golfnow pricing is icing on the cake. Only thing I think they could improve upon is a course marshall. While it wasn't a terribly slow round it is frustrating when our foursome consistently had to wait on the group in front of us who constantly fell 1 to 2 holes behind the pace.
Best course I`ve played this year!
With bent greens, bent fairways, and bent tees, this course is beautiful! Course is in excellent condition. Rough is cut to a fair length, but don`t let that fool you. It is THICK! Greens run about 11-12 on stimpmeter. Staff is super friendly, led by pro Jeff Krohn.
A fantastic golf experience.
A solid golf experience, challenging & fair, excellent conditions. Everything was great & I recommend anyone try out this course especially with one of the GolfNow Hot Deals that are available.
fabulous layout
Course was in excellent condition. Beautiful landscape. A very enjoyable experience, on a great course.
Great course but...
Great course, but, one thing did bother me a little bit. I was taking my son (10 yrs. old) for his first "nice" course experience. It was just he and I, and I wanted to keep it that way. As we pulled up to the first tee, we are informed that another twosome will be joining. Now, they were extremely nice guys, and respected the fact I had my 10 year old son with me ( watched their language, etc.). But, if I wanted to play in a foursome, I would have brought them with us. It was supposed to be a father/son experience, and they ruined that to make more money, and keep the course moving. As a result, my son didn't get to hit near as many shots as I had anticipated. He's very inexperienced, and still learning the game. I wish they would have been upfront and honest at the start, so we could have made other arrangements.
Awesome greens.
Extremely fast greens rolled perfect. Great course. A lot of sand and heather. Tough but ver fair. Just really slow too much looking for balls in heather. Come on people drop and move on!!!
Great condition
I would recommend this course to everyone. Very well maintained. Green are some of the best I have ever played. Key to this course is keep the ball in the short grass. Very difficult to play from the rough. This is the best course in the Louisville area.
Great Course
Fantastic fairways and tee boxes. Greens were in excellent condition, but were super fast. Any shot that you don't keep in the fairway is likely a lost ball. So, bring plenty of balls. Don't take your round to serious and just enjoy playing on this course.
Chariot Run - a gem of a course
Played the white tees (about 6200 yds) at Chariot Run on a hot, sunny day with wind generally moving left-to-right or right-to-left and sometimes, none at all. Some days the wind will beat you down here, but the course was in excellent condition. The greens have been consistently running on 11 or 12+ on stimpmeter and are just terrific. A great challenge, Chariot Run is one of my favorite course to play in Louisville/Southern Indiana area. Water comes into play on three of the four par threes. Sand around the greens makes approach shots, especially when the wind is whipping, very tough. The course is in terrific shape and always provides a challenge. And when you shoot a low score (relatively speaking), you'll feel like you've accomplished something with your game.
Always Excellent
This is MY Favorite Course. WE play many different courses but Chariots Run is the BEST. Best Condition. Best Staff.
Many Thanks for the Veterans Day promotion.
this course was the most challenging we ever played
I enjoyed the round really brought you to your knees very nice place
lots of tall grass
although we did not get to finish our round due to rain the course was in fantastic shape a lot of tall grass and some water come into play fairways are more than generous but do not miss them
good shape
Great layout, well bunkered, super greens. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The food was good and service was excellent
One of my favorite courses
This course is always in great shape. Most courses I have played this year have Bermuda which hasn't
filled in anywhere yet due to the winter we had. It was nice to play a course that was green all over.
Excellent putting surfaces
These are the highest quality greens you can play in this area. Speed is great and the roll is true.
Great shape
The course is in very good condition. Greens are awesome. I will play here again when in the area.
Premium golf experience!
The best golf experience in a 100 mile radius Kentucky and southern Indiana
Very Nice Course
I've heard a lot of great things about this course. This was my first time playing it and it was great. Fairways are perfect. Greens were at 11.5 and roll true. Very challenging. I would recommend playing it if your in the area.
We're you playing on a holiday weekend?? If so, very few courses are going to let a twosome out on a weekend let alone a holiday weekend. I take my girls, similar age, out all the time with me and I usually ask if the course is crowded and explain why I'm asking. I've never had a problem when I've checked ahead of time.
