Chariot Run

Liked the layout here, reminded me of a combination of different Indiana golf courses. This course has great views and a couple holes similar to the Dye Course in French Lick. The course also had certain elements and holes that reminded me of both the Brickyard and Purgatory. All in all for a twilight rate of 30 dollars this is one of the best deals one can find in Indiana.

Greens and fairways in great shape. Really like the course and Challenging! For hackers like us, bring extra balls ...

The only thing I don;’t like about this course is that it is too far away to play more often. The course is beautiful and a Fair test of your golf skills. Keep the ball in the fairway if you want to score. Or be ready to dig out of the waist high grass. I love the challenge the course provides and the decisions it requires, including club choice off the tees. The staff is very friendly and the amenities are more than adequate. The only comment, not criticism, is you play 14 beautiful links-style holes, then 15 and 16 are more traditional American tree-lined holes, followed by 17 on top of a ridge, then you close back in links fashion with the beautiful closing hole. Can’t wait to get back and play again.

I love playing this course. The course is in great shape and they have the beat carts.

Great course. Hot as heck, but pace was great & course in great shape.

This course is a bit out of the way but is the best non-private course around. Tough but fair. Keep it in the short grass and good scores are to be had, assuming you play the tees suited for your game.

First time playing Chariots Run, and I am already making plans to return! The greens are in incredible shape, along with the fairways, and rough (unfortunately had a decent amount of experience here).

This is an awesome course, but...

1). Cumbersome to get to

2). Links style course which offers little relief from the sun

However...

1). Excellent Facility

2). Very nice carts with awesome on board features

3). Free range balls before tee time

4). Reasonable Price

5). Very Enjoyable & Challenging

I absolutely loved the course, there is NONE better for the price. The amenities could've been open a little longer, nothing quite like finishing up a round of golf on a hot day and having to drive 30 minutes for a bottled water.

Course was great, staff was great, just wish points from the casino were useable at the course like they used to be

Beautiful course. GPS on carts helps a ton with first time playing at the course. Hard to find a course in better shape with all the amenities for the money. Definitely will be back

Spent a few days in Louisville, KY and decided to try Chariot Run in Laconia, IN. Beautiful links style course in excellent shape. There are a few blind tee-off shots, but the high tech GPS system in the carts tell you where other golfers are on the course! Greens in great shape but did not break as much as I anticipated. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I'll return.
