About
Players of all abilities will enjoy Cimarrone Golf Club's par-72, 6,891-yard championship layout. The golf course, often referred to as "The Wild One" because of its intriguing play, opened in 1988.
Designed by David Postlethwait, Cimarrone's manicured course conditions and challenging design provide a fun, player-friendly experience for players of all abilities. Beginners will enjoy Cimarrone's well-defined fairways and magnificent greens. Advanced players will appreciate numerous risk-reward opportunities provided by strategically placed bunkers and a water or marsh feature on every hole. A total of 17 lakes surround the golf course.
Cimarrone Golf Club, which has a rating of 72.7 a slope rating of 132, has been selected as one of the top 50 courses in Florida and was given four stars out of five by Golf Digest.

Much better
I haven’t played here in well over a year because the conditions had gotten so bad. The course is much improved but not worth the $$ they are charging. Maybe it will be, but I don’t want to pay now, for what they want to be, or hope to be.
Soaked
Rained and soaked course thunder and lightning only played 1/2 a hole
Great shape
Played Friday after 15 inches of rain the previous 10 days. All the work they have done paid off. Good drainage bu was still wet as expected. One of the only courses around here even open. Greens in great shape.

If you like water?
Pretty much water comes into play on every hole. Course was in great shape, but the holes need to be repositioned…as it seemed they had not been in at lease a week… the hole edges were really sloppy. Greens/fairways were in great shape.
Great course
Challenging but great course! The only thing requiring improvement would be the cart paths. Will definitely be back in the near future.
Love the course
I love this course! In this heat I love that there are plenty of trees for shade. The course was very well manicured and in good shape. I definitely plan to play again and maybe even join.
Fairways were in good shape but the greens needed a lot of work
The course was in good conditions with the exception of the greens. They are in need of work currently. Pace was 5 minute wait on most every hole. There was no beverage cart, when we asked at the turn, we were told that it was broken. The clubhouse, pro shop, restaurant and restrooms where all great. Staff was also very good.
Excellant Course
Well taken care of and challenging as well. Looking forward to next round and have already recommend this course to family and friends.
Great Layout
Greens were still recovering from aeration and were very slow and uneven. Rough was also difficult due to prior weather, but really liked the layout. Will play again when greens are back to normal.
Nice layout
Pace slowed way down at the turn. Tee boxes need some help.. and hole 8 under maintenance.
Greens were way too slow, staff said mower was broken. Rent one, borrow one, just figure it out. I shouldn’t have to pay normal rates to deal with your issue. I do like what they are trying to do to change this course, but this round was disappointing. #keep up the investment/good work/ friendly staff
