Cimarrone Golf Club

This course has had it's ups, mostly downs the past few years but it has been steadily improving over the last year. The greens had been poor but are now in good shape. A few bad spots here and there but 95% better than they were a year or so ago. Not the fastest but not slow either. The clubhouse has improvements including a new wood fired pizza oven that I haven't tried yet. Overall worth the money and much improved.

We love Cimarrone and will continue to play there. However, yesterday the Ranger could have assisted everyone. We played at 1:00 and they sent us out as a twosome behind a foursome, no biggie, but they were SLOW. Again, no biggie until they saw us waiting in the fairway on every hole, beginning on hole 3. They NEVER once asked us to play through. They were fishing balls out of the water, leaving the cart 50 yards from one another, etc. This foursome was totally not cool and obviously did not give a s_ _ t. Could have finished an hour earlier if the Ranger would have professionally moved things along. We understand s_ _ t happens, but yesterday zapped some of the joy. Glad I love this game:)

This is a gem that demands attention to every shot. Water is a factor but if you play smart you are fine. But make sure you have enough club. Finishing hole is tough depending on pin location. When in doubt move forward a tee.

WE enjoyed the course very much. It was in good condition for the time of year. The greens were a little slow but ran true. We sank a number of medium range putts. The course layout is nice with generous fairways and enough water to pose a challenge. We will definitely play again during our stay. The staff was great. The restaurant and bar areas were very nice. Our lunch was delicious and our server friendly and attentive in spite of bein pretty busy.

Owners have been making improvements. Greens are a little on the slow side but way better than last year. Fun course to pla.

Greens, fairways, tees and traps all groomed and in excellent shape. My favorite course in the area…. And it will test your game.

I recently read other reviews about how the new ownership is making a difference. I played here a couple years ago and it was pretty rough. I can absolutely see positive changes happening. For early Feb, the course looks like it’s going to be in great shape this spring as the grass starts growing. It was in great shape! Also the restaurant/bar looks amazing and looking forward to coming back again.

Very enjoyable experience. Great course and club house. If you haven’t played here in a while, you need to give it a visit. The new owner is serious about turning this course around from its past reputation. It’s a whole new ballgame at Cimarrone!
