Cimarrone Golf Club

First time playing here in a couple years. The work they’ve put into the course has really paid off and as other recent reviews have said, Cimarrone is back. Tee boxes, fairways and greens all were in great shape. Greens were on the slower side but rolled great. Even after some rain the last few days the course seemed to drain well and the bunkers were still in decent shape. Definitely putting this back in the rotation.

For management: Knocked a star off for the poor attitude from the woman running the shop on Saturday morning (12/16). I slipped and nearly fell on the bathroom floor that was recently mopped so I let her know there was no wet floor sign and that I wasn’t looking for an insurance payday. She just told me “I shouldn’t have been in there” because they were still cleaning. There was also no sign or person to tell me that. Poor communication and attitude towards a customer who was just trying to help you avoid an injury and potential lawsuit.

Old man that checked us in inside the clubhouse was so rude & grumpy that we almost left. The other staff members were very nice though. Course in good shape.

They don't allow golf carts in the parking lot...which means we had to carry our bags & gear from/to our cars.

Course well maintained, kitchen amenities very good. Extremely window all day and wet for last few holes. Would like to play again under better conditions

The course was in good winter condition. Greens covered and rolling well. Everything moist due to recent rains and holding.

A good deal of players, but generally moved along pretty well.

The course was very playable. The layout is good. I understand they have made major improvements over the past year. I am new to the area and I’ve played a few courses here and I like this one the best so far. The staff are very friendly so the whole experience was great. I will definitely play here many more times.

Got a GolfNow hot deal. Weather was perfect. As other reviewers said the greens are a tad slow but still roll true. They aren’t super slow, but not lightning fast either. Everything else is in great shape. Water on practically every hole. Tee shot is a premium so keep it in play or bring plenty of balls. Will definitely play again. Got paired up with three good guys. Thoroughly enjoyed the round. Played in just under 4hrs.

Used to play this course ~15 years ago, then a few bad greenskeepers really ruined it. Was unplayable. Well, I'm happy to say that it is back and in great shape. It's a tough layout with a lot of water, but tee to green, they've done an admirable job. You won't be disappointed. Staff are all friendly and they completely redid their clubhouse as well. Book with confidence.

With new tee boxes and fairways in great condition. The greens are great and pure. A bit slow right now due to over seeding but cut perfect and pure as an angel. Feel comfortable putting this back into your rotation.

I played this course back in May and it was horrible! Greens were unplayable and course was a mess , I heard new management was in place and they were working at getting the course back in shape, I also knew this would be a process . I really like the course, good layout and good for every level . Well I read a review yesterday which was very favorable so decided to give it another shot, when I called for a tee time I specifically asked about the greens , was told they were coming back nicely so 4 of us played today . I am here to tell you put it back on list , course was in excellent shape , greens really came back nice , a little slow but rolled true , fairways were nice as well as the tee box ! Played for $45 great buy . Staff was very polite and courteous, new carts with GPS ! Stoped at newly renovated club house for a beer and snack , excellent and reasonable. Help support this place their hard work has paid off , will definitely be back !

Course is in great shape, never have I played a course that has so much water on it. Makes for a great challenge!

A must play in the JAX / St. Augustine area. The clubhouse is completely refurbished. Tee boxes, fairways and sand traps are groomed and excellent. The greens are slow but the ball rolls straight and true. Staff is friendly and professional. With water on 16 holes and mounds around the greens, it is the closest thing to TPC Sawgrass, style, but for a fraction of the price. This course will test every shot in your bag!
