Cimarrone Golf Club

The golf course is in transition. The tee boxes, fairways are in excellent condition. The greens are steadily improving. The pro-shop and restaurant are currently in construction. When completed, this course will be something special.

Greens are in pretty bad shape. Some are being redone 1/2 at a time . construction workers were around the course too and needed to be avoided.

Great day for north Florida golf. Club house was being refurbished so little to no food or drink available and inside facilities were spotty (they did provide a portable port-o-let at the turn),

Fairways in moderate condition, about 1/2 of the greens were either partial under repair or need replacing. Generally, the holes were placed in the better part of the green. Tees need some work.

Overall, not very crowded on a weekend mid afternoon and a lot of fun.

Cimarrone is an excellent value for mid-tier golfers. The Course is open with well landscaped traps & hazards. The greens are going through rebuild so you have to allow for the time period, otherwise you will enjoy this course. My wife and I have played Cimarrone a few times now and enjoy the staff very much. You get now only fair, but great value.

In general the course is in good shape, all but the greens. The greens are suffering and they need a lot of help. It will be some time before I play there again with greens like that.

Overall the course is nice but the greens are in horrible condition.

Last Fall, course conditions were improving. Since then the greens have become a disaster. I have no idea how you could destroy them so quickly, but that is what has happened. I’ve played this course off and on for 15 years and this is the worst condition of greens ever. Very sad to see.

While every course has issues from time to time. The greens here are absolutely pathetic. If you can even call them greens. 35-45 with a cart is what they should be charging with conditions like that!!

Wasted $70 to “play” this course, STAY AWAY. Greens are full of sand and dirt, the clubhouse is under renovation, and there’s live construction on hole 10. You’ll find better greens at a municipal course (Brentwood/Blue Cypress) while paying a fraction of what they’re charging here. If you are considering this course, DON’T. You’re better off spending your money at a driving range.

Fairways are good for this time of year. They are working on the greens in many places for the most part, though the greens are in fairly poor shape and really are so untrue. It is very hard to putt anywhere near consistently. . I believe that in a few months the conditions could be a lot better. If they keep up the work that they’re doing until that point I think they should decrease the fees a bit. I would also like to see them initiate senior citizen rates during the week I look forward to playing there in the near future when greens conditions improve

I was unaware of the work being done on the course as well as the club house , so it was a disappointing round of golf. I have been golfing here for the past few years and normally enjoy the round of golf. I’m sure it will be much better when they finish with the facelift to the clubhouse ,and the course have to wait til next year !

Cimarron is one of my favorite courses.

However, the greens looked as if a fungus took over, they weren’t cut and were bumpy. Never saw the greens that bad.

I played in March and the greens were looking pretty good, but during my last round on April 11th the greens were in terrible condition, with more (green) dirt than actual grass on some holes.
