Shotmakers course
The layout has a great deal of water to avoid and when I play it again, we will do so. Very fair is most ways. Greens were slow but lush and weedless. Putted true.
Great Conditions
By far, the best course conditions that I have experienced anywhere in FL over the last several weeks. There was actually grass on the greens, instead of dirt and green fertilizer. Water on most holes, although it's not always in play. Pretty course in great shape, compared to everything else that I've seen these last few weeks, as I've travelled across the state
Excellent price value.
We played 3 courses and this was the best value. King and Bear decent conditions but almost double the price. The Slammer and the Squire is a joke, almost all the greens were unplayable and they still charged full price. Do not go there.
This course was in very good shape and the staff was very friendly. At almost half the price of the other two, this was a bargain.
Only issue
Course is in good condition one of the better ones around town. Only issue is never saw a beverage cart. Multiple times playing never see the beverage cart
Would you expect to see a course Marshall at least once during a round ?
Never saw a course Marshall.
Group in front of us was a full 2 holes behind the group ahead of them.
Oh yes, and this on a day when the tee sheet was totally full.
Great layout, course is in great shape, staff are super, but where's the Marshall?
Liked it so much played it twice on the trip..
Friendly staff although the bar and restaurant area needs more staffing. Great value for this type of course in comparison to the World Golf Village courses. Nicer and a lot more affordable. Bring lots of golf balls. Also don't need the driver on alot of holes. Use the 3 wood.to keep it in play.
Enjoyable Track, some target golf
The staff are very friendly and helpful. Water is definitely in play on most holes for the whites and black tees. Approach shots need to carry to the green or the soft fronts will leave you short. Par 5’s are inviting to get there in two but the risk reward ratio is unfavorable either the narrow approaches and guarded greens.
Fun track for my wife and I. We will give it a go when we come back next year.
Coming along, but still a ways to go
Greens were very slow. And I'll bet I fixed a dozen ball marks. Nobody sands the divots or repairs ball marks. Carts are GPS limited and very slow. A nice track, but I wish the players would take better care of the course.
Solid choice
Cimmaron has really come a long way. Course is in solid shape. Greens are healthy. Some will complain that they're "slow" compared to elsewhere, but they break true and I found the speed to be ideal - not slow, but not rolling too long either. Amenities are nice. Staff are friendly. Bartender pours a solid drink. No complaints. Play with confidence.
Cimmaron is Back
This has long been one of the best layouts in the area but had fallen into terrible shape for many years. Those days are gone! New management/ownership have brought this course back from the dead. Tee box to green, course was in great shape, greens were a little slow but in really good shape. The whole operation has taken a big turn to the positive. Clubhouse is super nice, good drinks and food. I highly recommend.
Bad customer service
40 mins delayed and no one explain, no one apologizes.
I complained about it and guy name will asked me what is my name(how rude is that) Is he trying to kick me out or something? Really?
After finished front 9 and owner came to me I was rude to his employees. I was trying to explain what happened but he refused listen to me and told me to leave his property.
Don't play this course if you don't want to be discriminate nor ignored!
(I'm Asian by the way)
First time playing. Despite having a tee time, They were short golf carts for the afternoon crowd. They were running about an hour behind. I have never experienced anything like this and have golfed it some of the most prestigious, clubs, and courses in the United States. I was disappointed to say the least.
Excellent course layout - in good condition
Course layout is excellent - driving range is good but small. Greens ,were in good condition and held shots nicely.. They rolled a ;little slow on the front - a little better on the back. I would recommend this course
love it!!
This is my favorite course down by Jax!! I even thought about just moving down there from Virginia because it is so nice and the staff is SO friendly! Love the course conditions, pace of play was a little slow but no fault to the course. The holes were super fun and almost all had water nearby making it even mote challenging.
