Players of all abilities will enjoy Cimarrone Golf Club's par-72, 6,891-yard championship layout. The golf course, often referred to as "The Wild One" because of its intriguing play, opened in 1988.
Designed by David Postlethwait, Cimarrone's manicured course conditions and challenging design provide a fun, player-friendly experience for players of all abilities. Beginners will enjoy Cimarrone's well-defined fairways and magnificent greens. Advanced players will appreciate numerous risk-reward opportunities provided by strategically placed bunkers and a water or marsh feature on every hole. A total of 17 lakes surround the golf course.
Cimarrone Golf Club, which has a rating of 72.7 a slope rating of 132, has been selected as one of the top 50 courses in Florida and was given four stars out of five by Golf Digest.

Great greens! Conditions on the fairways were a bit dry and barren. It is winter, so understandable.
Awesome course BUT….
Awesome course, great layout and greens. We only played 13 holes which took 4 1/2 hrs! The ranger left at 3 pm and the 3 groups in front of us became turtles…
Very disappointed. The course is too difficult for beginners who should not play here.
No Fivesomes, Please
Clubhouse and starter allowed a fivesome of teenagers to go off at 3:30, slowing pace of play tremendously. Group was goofing around not keeping pace of play. Call to the clubhouse went to an offsite customer service rep. Better options out there
Good shape
The course is in Good Shape. One of thegolf courses that is in good shape. Seems to be well maintained
Good round
Staff was super friendly. Guy at the bag check in was amazing. Starter was awesome. Price is a little on the high side due to course conditions. All in all a good round.
Hard course good condition
Hard Course, was in good condition. Staff was super friendly. The guy at the bag drop was awesome! I would recommend having an easy way to get a hotdog or something at the turn, maybe add the order feature on cart screens that pops up at the 8th hole?
Excellent layout.
Cimarrone is a very nice and somewhat challenging course. The condition of the course has improved significantly in the past couple of years. The staff is friendly and the course was fun to play.
Ignore Older Reviews
My wife and I were paired with a member of the course. He told us the course had new owners and they have sunk a lot of money into the course and it showed. Will definitely play this course again next time we visit Florida. Bring some extra balls, there is lots of water on the course.
Bring balls
I played from the Mustang tees (gold). Front is unforgiving for anyone but long hitting highly accomplished golfers. Eases up a bit on the back but if you’re not in sand, your on an up or downhill lie. Tight fairways.
All that said, if you can handle it, it’s a great value. I found World Golf Village easier to manage for more than twice the price. Great friendly staff as well.
Time to play
Beautiful layout. Condition ok. But time to play over 5 hour is very to much long. For this reason I’ll never return to play there.
Course
Didn’t play as well as I would have liked. The course was probably in the best shape that I have seen in along time.

Greens are some of best around this area.
Water on 17 of the holes.
good selection of tees to choose from.
Fairways in good shape for winter.
Fun course a lot of water, everyone was wonderful we played in 3:15 course conditions only because it’s febuary
