About
Players of all abilities will enjoy Cimarrone Golf Club's par-72, 6,891-yard championship layout. The golf course, often referred to as "The Wild One" because of its intriguing play, opened in 1988.
Designed by David Postlethwait, Cimarrone's manicured course conditions and challenging design provide a fun, player-friendly experience for players of all abilities. Beginners will enjoy Cimarrone's well-defined fairways and magnificent greens. Advanced players will appreciate numerous risk-reward opportunities provided by strategically placed bunkers and a water or marsh feature on every hole. A total of 17 lakes surround the golf course.
Cimarrone Golf Club, which has a rating of 72.7 a slope rating of 132, has been selected as one of the top 50 courses in Florida and was given four stars out of five by Golf Digest.

Losing golf balls around the green
Great track, staff are fabulous, hospitality is excellent. Have played there weekly for about 4 months.
Sick and tired of my group losing golf balls in the area immediately around the greens, cause the Bermuda grass is sooo long the ball just disappears, even though we all saw it go into a specific area.
I have mentioned this to course management, as have others..no action.
It's so frustrating, it has such an impact in pace of play.
Cut the grass around the greens !!!
Good winter conditions
The grass around town is all pretty dormant still, but this was as good as I have found.
Cimarrone Country Club
Enjoyed the layout. Lots of water, but opportunities to play away from the hazard. The greens were in good shape for late January.
Highly recommend the clubhouse restaurant. They have a pizza oven and they make outstanding pizza. The hamburgers are also excellent.
Fun round
When course conditions went downhill, I stayed away for a few years. Glad to see the course is back in good shape because I enjoy the layout. I’ll definitely go back.

The course was in very good condition. Much improved over the past couple of years. The staff here is very courteous and helpful.
Greens are Back!
This course has made a complete turnaround in the past year. New bunkers, and the greens are back to having great pace. The new bar and food options are amazing.
Grip-n-Rip
A true golf club experience! Friendly, helpful staff, PGA instructor giving lessons on the range, on-time tee off, 3hour 40 minute round- never waited to hit a shot - excellent course conditions! I prefer larger greens, but otherwise loved the layout, moguls, fluffy hand-raked bunkers, generous fairways, and over 7000 yards from the tips. Pull the driver and let it rip! The clubhouse has been recently renovated, has a gourmet pizza oven too. I can recommend the Kit and Caboodle and the “Birds and the Bees” (chicken and waffles with honey).
Solid Winter condition
Fairways were gorgeous. The rough is dormant and thick. Traps are xonsistent. The greens rolled well even with a bit of length on tge tutf. Fun round.
How much
No matter what condition the course I would never pay those rates for this course to many other better options.
slow greens
The course itself was decent and the greens rolled ok they were just very slow. Course would be a lot better if they would just cut their greens down.
Water Challenges
Nice to see a course turnaround from a Hilton Head background.
