Arrowhead Pointe At Lake Richard B. Russell

As a former collegiate coach and now about 7 handicap:

Beautiful setting and great architecture

Greens were pretty slow due to recent aeration which diminished the enjoyment. It wasn’t too bad on my day of play, but could see rounds being really slow, as this would be a Stern test for high handicaps.

Nice course. Greens are very hard at the moment. They need watering. Course was packed. Very busy day at the course.

Will NOT recommend this course to my friends 50’s and above for being too much slopes going up and down from fairways back to the cart. My back was hurting after the 16th hole.

I’m a physically active guy and when I’m paired with somebody, I usually take the passenger side, as I always walk the fairways to my ball.

I rated this a 5 star because, IT IS!

Great welcoming a staff and nice clean dinning area. I always repair divots on fairways and greens when I play but not here, there was almost nothing to repair.

This is one silver lining of ‘cart path only’ rule, it keeps the place easier to maintain and fairways look good.

Though I will Definitely Recommend this place to younger folks and teens who won’t mind the challenge of hiking up and down the slopes of cart path only.

Kudos to the supervisors and workers who kept this place immaculate.

Why would it lock up on the cart path behind #2 green?

Course was in very good condition. Greens are large and were consistent with several tiers on most holes. Very scenic course especially the back 9 with numerous holes on the edge of Lake Hartwell. Several nice and clean restroom facilities located on the course.

A course you need to play.. One of the best public courses in the area with fantastic views of Lake Russell. Not an easy course and plays longer than the yardage. Well worth the trip.

This course is fun and challenging. It’s fair but tough. Staff is great. Wish the customers were cleaner. Got behind some people throwing beer cans on the fairways. This course is always fun to play. Greens always good. Will always be in my top 3

As a Florida native playing in Georgia for the first time, I was blown away by this course. The views are stunning, the staff was incredibly welcoming, and the greens rolled true. Despite a frost delay and cart-path-only restrictions, everything was well-managed and understandable. The practice range was great for warming up, and the course itself offered a fun yet challenging experience. Without a doubt, this is now one of my all-time favorite courses. I’ll definitely be back—hopefully in the summer—and highly recommend it to all golfers!

Played yesterday. There was a cold weather delay but that did not affect our tee time. The greens have been sprayed green. They are in fantastic condition. The ball ran true and slightly fast. It’s a very undulating course. A few surprises that we needed to drive up and look at. It’s challenging and I thought it played long. The scenery is simply stunning. Lots of holes with water views and some where the water came into play. The golf carts had gps so you knew where you were from the hole the whole time. We did not use the restaurant so cannot comment on that. The pro shop was stocked. Not much in the ladies section though. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful even though we wore Clemson attire and they were Bulldog fans. We will be back.
