Great course
This is a great course with friendly people running it however, the pace of play is getting terrible with groups not allowing faster players through but that seems to becoming the norm at all courses nowadays.
Hidden gem is an understatement
I would not have known of this clubs existence without Golfnow. I can now say Arrowhead is one of my favorites! The greens are amazing and the fairways are what fairways should be, well manicured and maintained. We always had a good lie, when we hit the fairway that is. Bunker sand is soft white sand like you find at the beach.
The ladies in the clubhouse are awesome, the only minor complaint is two biscuits and tea was nearly 20 bucks. I guess they know there's no mcd's close by.
I only wish I lived closer, but at 1 hour and a half away, I will go back several times each season. What better way to spend 8 hours?
Awesome Golf Course
I enjoyed awesome Golf course with my wife for the 1st time play there. Tee box, fairway, banker and everything was well maintained conditions as well as speedy green rolling even under the Hot temp weather. Specially, more beautiful scenery at back 9 holes with lake and I definitely said that this course was one of best in Georgia golf course. I will come back to play here again.
Great value!
Perhaps the best combination of price and quality I’ve seen. Very nice design, great lake views on several holes, terrific condition of both fairways and greens. Golf carts were very new. I prefer greens a little quicker, but for a public course they were fine. Staff in the pro shop was competent and very friendly. For $45 (and at times less), I don’t know where you would find a better deal.
good time
loved the course and the views. fun. pretty. tough. tricky. had a great time. shot 85. was a good day.
Nice
All is good except for the back nine we had some idiots behind us, that's all they own the course and would just drive balls randomly. I thought I might possibly catch a charge for beating some tail. Overall it's a great course to play.
Gem
Best course you'll play for $55. I drive 1.5 hours to play arrowhead. Beautiful back nine
Absolute Gem!
The course was in great shape. Very friendly staff. I’ve always heard how great it is and finally found out for myself. Great track! A+ 5*!
Course is in pretty good shape
Thought it might have been cart path only after all the rain normal restrictions
Course was solid condition
Greens recovered well
Hard to mark these greens with pitch mark
Which makes them roll well
Although pretty slow and grainy
They have to protect during summer..
It is a great test of golf
Awesome course
Although it is about an hour drive for me, I prefer to play this course over almost any of my other local courses because of how good it is. Great scenic round of golf and the conditions are also usually pretty good.
Great course! But…
First I love this course and will continue to play it but I have a recommendation. One improvement needed with gps on cart. The pin placements did not match the screen’s pin location as we were told they would. The old school front , middle, or back flags would be more telling.
Wonderful
Great layout with challenging holes and fantastic views. Greens were excellent with some difficult reads. A lovely day out. Will return.
Great gem of a course
Absolute gem.. course was in great shape. Fairways where near perfect and the greens rolled pure... although kinda slow. But healthy.. Staff was super friendly. And accommodating. I just wish it was closer and I'd play it more
Lake Arrowhead is good, course as well!
Green was slow and overall turf level is high, so it would have been perfect if mowed and rolled. Pther than that perfect layout and beautiful course.
Fun layout, very well maintained, not crowded
I've played all but one of the GA State Park courses. Each are all well maintained but Arrowhead Pointe is the best of them all. It has plenty of challenge if you choose to play from the Black or Blue tees, but the fairways are generous so it's friendly to high handicappers. The bunkers are pristine and the greens are in great shape. This was my second visit and the course has never been crowded which makes for an enjoyable pace...fast or relaxed - your choice. There are several lake-side holes which makes for nice eye candy while playing,
Hats off to the pro-shop and course maintenance staff. This has become one of my top two favorite courses in Georgia.
Great course
Beautiful setting and a challenging course but fair.
My favorite course in NE Georgia.
