great for money!!
i played at 3:50 pm and there is no problem to finish whole my 18 holes..
great shape of green with all green fairway..
i will play here again =)
This course is not bad at all just for a round
I would say this golf course is not bad to play because it is a short golf course to play, very slow pace of round and it is only good for doing golf lessons.
Good Course
fair price and quick play. not too much of a wait.
Wide open, greens were fast but pace of play was slow on Sat.
Never played this course before. Got out on time. Unfortunately there were several fivesomes ahead of us which dragged the pace of play. The fairways were in decent condition and wide open & the greens were fast enough. The rough was a bit deep & had some difficulty in locating the ball at times in the rough. All in all it was worth the $29 to walk the course and will return to play on a weekday.
Great Golf Course In My Book
First of all you have a lot of great deals and second it has lights so you can play till 10pm. Yes I said 10pm and it's 18 holes with a sweet, well guarded par 5. you can really work on your short game and the price is right.

Good course to play
I have played this course many ties and find it very inviting. They are kept up and stay tricky. The fairways are nicely maintained. Often times they do not give the ladies an advantage with the tee box. This is thoughtlessness. Very good practice facilities.
Quick round.
Great course to practice your short game. There are a couple of holes where you can pull your long irons and woods as well.
good for practice your golf matter
Great golf cours for practice cause several par 5 & par4s
With par3s. This place has excellent green condition also.
At night time playing round need more attention cause
lights limited standing.
More lights required when sun down.
This course very good for your shot checking more than
driving range.
Too much money for what you get...
If you pay full price, you're paying too much!! Unless you're walking and $23 is not that bad for 18 holes with one par 5. Greens are ok, fairway are good. All in all, great place to practice your short game.
Great short game experience
I play Westchester two times a week it is good for my short game if you are not on in regulations good luck On par.The course is a 111 par 62 ....good luck trying to reach that. The course condition is fair the greens are fast ...you really need to be on in regulations in order to par the course . Its not as simple as it seems. The downfall is they do allow five sums which can take quite a few hours to play the course . normal time would be 3 to 3 1/2 hours to play all 18 holes. There are a lot of beginners on the course FORE is a common word. it's a good practice course for your short game. Only 1 5 par. 4 4 pars the rest 3pars..... The staff is great and so are the burgers. Great practice facilities. Twilight golf is great Toooooo. Always a lot of fun. If your looking for a good time golf experience and don't really care about your established handicap this is the place to golf.... It will raise your handicap significantly if you do not shoot to it. I'm a 12 handicap but play to 18-20 at this course urrrrgggg best round 69. Put your ego aside cause Westchester isn't as easy as it looks.
My Favorite Practice Course
I play here every week because its open after work til 10, night lit, has reasonable rates, and is a good practice course for me. Gets a little beat up in the summer from so much traffic and folks REALLY need to repair their ball marks on the greens.
I learned to play on this course and for what i pay, when I play, I'm not going to complain at all. it's really just good practice for me, and this course with it's steady afternoon wind off the ocean is challenging enough, throws enough trouble at you, and lets you swing every club in the bag.
18 holes is better than 15
Ever since they added the missing 3 holes on the back nine making it a full 18 hole course, it's been a better experience. Sure... I think that this local course was designed for or at least used by many beginners. This course is the ONLY course I've ever played that offers Rule 5 which is defined by allowing a golfer to pick up an errant tee-shot that lands in another fairway an drop it in his/her own fairway without any penalty. There's a lot of that going on with "Fore" being yelled. The pace of play is dependent upon the groups ahead of you and whether there are 4 or 5 players... with the latter always taking more time of course. It's not a bad value for what it is. fewer par 3's it would be a good thing.
Solid beginner course, if you get a discount
This course is one or two steps above a par-3 course: par 64, with about half par 3s and half short par 4s, a little over 4,000 yards total. Not really well maintained, but not terrible either.
The full-price rate is a little steep for what you get. You can pay the same or less for a full length muni course of similar quality. But if you get a discount or play twilight, it's not a bad deal.
A few things to be aware of:
--People always complain about slow play, but this place seems worse than most. That's due to lots of beginner golfers and the fact that they allow fivesomes.
--The course is lighted and is open until 10:00 p.m. Good luck finding your ball if you hit it too far away from the nearest light.
--The driving range is nicer than average. You hit off mats, but they're high quality.
--The staff is easygoing and friendly, which is usually good, except that they're not great at making the trains run on time.
Good course for getting some confidence in your game
Got a prepaid hot deal round at 4:53pm, Was able to head out early around 4:30. The Staff was good other than that they had no information that I got a cart on my reservation so had to walk the course. The cart was $12 extra. Though it was a short course to walk and I enjoyed playing the course.
I was impressed with the way the fairways have been maintained, though the greens were little fast. They have 4 Par 4's and 1 Par 5 and rest all Par 3's.
Great place to improve your short game. Overall a good value for money. Would definitely visit again once I am in that area and I need a quick round.
Rain check
Tee time was at 10:12, teed it up w 4 others. After 1st hole there was 2 -5somes waiting to tee off oan the next hole.
Waited and basically took 1hr to play 2holes.
Ridiculousness.
Course was in good shape.
Staff was great, we were late for our tee time, but they still got us right out. Course was in good shape, nice greens and well conditioned fairways. Bunkers were better than many big courses I've played. Course was busy but still a fast pace of play, only 3 and a half hours for 18.
Great Value!
This course is great for a quick 18 holes during the week and a great value! Most of the holes are pretty straight forward but the new holes on the east side of the course are awesome and present a challenge!
lots of variety
Westchester is a good course for practice. mostly par3's, short par4's, and one par5. No two holes alike makes for an interesting experience. Pace of play can be bad at times, but I played in 3 hours at super-twilight.
GREAT VIEWS OF LARGE AIRPLANES LANDING AND TAKING OFF.
HAD A GREAT ROUND. NOT BAD FOR CHEAP GOLF IN THE MIDDLE OF MILLIONS OF PEOPLE. IT IS WHAT IT IS . CHEAP AND CROWDERD. WE HAD A GREAT TIME. BRING A CAMERA AND MAYBE GET A GREAT PIC ON THE PAR 5 OF AN AIRPLANE LANDING ON WHAT LOOKS LIKE THE FAIRWAY. A MUST!
JD SCRATCH GOLFER
Easily walkable, great staff. I will be back.
First time playing Westchester and I enjoyed it, if I have a few hours to kill midday i will definitely be back. Intrigued by there night golf option, once I get a better handle on my hook I will give it a try.
How could you give this course one star for condition? This course is EASILY in much much better shape than some of the most expensive places to play in Southern California. Sure, they layout is weak but it's an executive course. The conditions of the greens blows away any other course in the area.
