Rams Hill Golf Club

Immaculately maintained course. The fastest greens I played all week. Was really windy, which is apparently a common occurrence.

Very few golfers out, so it felt like we had the course to ourselves

Have golfed all around the world , compares with anything we have played. Was really windy but made it even more challenging. Had a great day, everything about the course was first class.

Best desert course ever! Virtually every hole has amazing views. Layout is challenging but fair. Tee boxes, fairways and greens in excellent shape.

Rams Hill was highly recommended by friends. The drive from La Quinta is about 80 minutes but well worth it. The scenery enroute is spectacular.

Every aspect of the Rams Hill experience was outstanding. Reception was low key but warm and professional. The range uses grass tees and lots of targets with Pro-V 1x range balls.

The starter was friendly and helpful with a few valuable tips.

Every hole is unique, scenic and beautiful. Every hole features expansive view of mountains, deserts, clouds and rainbows.

We met several members who were very friendly and big fans of the course.

The accommodations are well out of range of errant shots and feature golf course and distant views.

We loved it and will be back.

Great, user friendly resort course. Wide fairways, soft yet fast greens, with stunning scenery all around. My only complaint was that there were virtually no ball washers to be found. Otherwise, just a magnificent course. Worth the trip from Palm Springs, or even San Diego.....

Been playing golf for 30 years and this might be the best course I’ve ever played. Greensbwere silky smooth and running at 11, ponds, creeks, and really deep bunkers. This course plays on the side of a hill so no boring flat holes this course is a PEACH. the staff were very friendly and helpful I’ll be back very soon. Oh I forgot brand new top of the line carts

Course is definitely worth the drive from Palm Desert. Excellent layout and conditions. Greens were running 11 and had plenty of character! Looking forward to playing it again next trip!

conditions were great, greens rolled a good 11.5 and true. I was pretty much alone the whole time I played. I was a single and when I did catch up to a group, without hesitation they let me play through. What good people. Played 18 in 2.5 hours. Range was great and they use Pro V1 for range balls. What an experience. I'm a fan and will return when I visit Palm Springs again

Awesome Course, unfortunately the wind was terrible. Will play again but will check the weather first.

I’ve been looking forward to playing here at Rams Hill for sometime now after reading the fantastic reviews it’s gotten. I was not disappointed in the least. It’s in the best condition a golfer can ever hope for with a very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I’ve played many courses up and down California, Nevada, Arizona and Colorado. It’s as good or better than any private or resort course I’ve played. It’s off the beaten trail but worth the trip there.

Had the opportunity to play Rams Hill in early December. What a fantastic experience from Tee to Green! Course layout was amazing, greens were pure, staff was friendly and accommodating. There was nothing else we could have asked for playing Rams Hill. Even new PROV1 on the range!

We played Rams Hill 3 times in 2 days and loved every minute of it! Ok, that double bogey on 18 wasn’t fun. All staff, from the cart guys to the proshop to the restaurant, were helpful with great attitudes..

Course has wide fairways and big greens, but has plenty of trouble in the form of 450 yard par 4’s and 190 plus par 3’s and at least 6 bunkers on every hole.

We rented a house on the course which made it super convenient and comfortable, and the food at the course and in town was great.

Played on 20% off deal, so very affordable

Course is in fabulous shape, but pace of play on the 26th was awful. There were four threesomes in front of us and they all played from the blue tee boxes, but the two groups directly in front of us were hitting 150 yard drives. The marshal did not feel obligated to do anything about it

The group behind us was very frustrated as well

Made for a very long round, waiting on just about every shot on the back nine.

Plus the GPS was not reprogrammed apparently after not being used on Christmas Day. Totally worthless on judging all 18 pin positions

Despite all that, I’ll definitely come back to play as the course is that good

From the moment we arrived at bag drop. We were greeted and the staff was top notch. Course was “the best” course I’ve played in San Diego county and I have played all of them. Greens ran true , fairways were never been touched carpets , every bunker had fine sand and raked to perfection. All the ingredients to a near perfect round of golf. Thank you Rams Hill

This was my 4,th visit to Rams Hill and it gets better every year. The course is one of,if not the best in So Cal and I have played a lot of them.

The tees, fairways and greens are always so well maintained. The service in the pro shop, bar and restaurant is top notch.

Without questions top 3 public courses in Southern California...Period! This place will spoil you. I'm going to have a very hard time play other courses. Hence, I will most likely be driving to Rams Hill and be at peace.
