Rams Hill Golf Club

Far too many of the fairways and greens had such severe slopes that well hit ball would roll down and off the fairways and greens.

Got really tired of it. Our playing party agreed that the slopes were "unfairly " Punishing good shots and puts.

Beautiful, but just not fun.

Fast tiered greens. You need to play here more than once to figure it out. Wrong side of the hole is a guaranteed bogey or worse. Can't wait to play it again. Greens were rolling 11.5. A must play!

Don’t get me wrong. Course is fantastic. Played it 5 times over the years. Played in November and conditions were pristine! This time, not so great. Fairways were little burned and greens harder than all get out. Start was rough with no balls on the driving range. Had to wait 15-20 minutes for guy to fill back up. Group behind us never had to wait but marshall told us to catch up to group ahead. We were never more than 5 minutes behind pace.

Great track and layout. Greens rolling 11.5 so don't be above the hole.. In the middle of nowhere but worth the drive.

Great day out at Rams Hill. The course is a lot of fun, and the greens were mint and running at 11.5 . The course impressed with its visual layout, strong bunkering and strategic options. Never would have guessed they redid the fairways this summer. Staff were excellent. The free street tacos at the turn were a pleasant and tasty surprise. Will definitely be back.

We really enjoyed the scenery and the golf course.

This was hands-down, the most epic golf trip I have ever been on not just the tournament itself but the facilities the golf course the staff and the housing was absolutely amazing. It’s something we’re gonna do every single year.

picture perfect but had 3-4 groups piled up at holes. had to leave 3 holes early. really messed up our time there

Got a round in after the big summer fairway project. I gave the course 9 of 10 stars, up from 7 stars last year. The greens continue to not hold approach shots and never saw a ball mark to repair. The new fairways, while fully grown in and very attractive, are somewhat tight with no cushion. They seemed like matted down carpet and not real grass. Very different strain of grass. Last comment is about the merchandise in the pro shop, which seemed like it belonged in Monterrey instead of Borrego Springs. Very high end clothing and accessories. I suggest 30% of goods should be more affordable. How about a $65 shirt?

First few holes aren’t as nice as the rest but they get progressively better and better conditioned and the back 9 is unreal.

The course was a reasonable challenge on the second shot. Great room to go a little wide off the tees. Greens were very undulating but fair. Course was in great condition.

Normally love the course, but it either needs more time to heal and or some rain - fairways inconsistent on firmness with some area like concrete, some super sandy base and others watered down - greens super firm which is ok for most while others might like a bit more receptive. I’ll be back for the Ramateur!
