About
Singing Hills Golf Resort at Sycuan (formerly known as Sycan Resort) offers two 18-hole championship courses, Oak Glen and Willow Glen, as well as an 18-hole, par-3 course. The courses are tucked into a valley, surrounded by mountains and sloping hillsides that provide stunning backdrops on almost every hole. The Sweetwater River runs through the Oak Glen Course, coming into play on several holes including the memorable fifth hole, which is definitely a contender for one of the best par 4s in San Diego. This challenging hole requires an accurate drive across the river. The gently rolling terrain is sprinkled with mature trees. The layout features undulating greens and tight fairways. It is a challenging golf course but it is generally forgiving off of the tees, which makes it slightly less difficult than the hillier Willow Glen Course from Singing Hills Golf Resort at Sycuan.

willow Glen
oak glen was under construction so they shifted us over to play Willow glen and it was perfect playing conditions, fairways and greens were in great shape!! thank you for a great round of golf

Correction
I stand corrected on my review of this course regarding notification of construction. It is definitely posted and I did not see it before booking this course. However, charging $75 to play it in this condition is not fair at all.

No business charging full rate
I played this course with my son and a twosome who joined us. This course is under major construction we were given a sheet on how to play holes out of order. There were several shortened holes, a temporary green, skipped holes and holes with fairways blocked by construction. At no time during the reservation process were we made aware of any construction ( golf now or the course web site). We were also not offered a discount after we paid full rate and were notified if the significant construction going on. There is no way they should be charging anything close to full rate and they should be posting warnings a out the construction on the web site and golf now etc. Will never play there again.

Played Willow...not Oak.
Pace of play too slow...5-hour round. Otherwise very enjoyable course. Layout and conditions very nice. Also scenic views.

Very friendly staff. Pace of play, however, was slow.
Expect course to be a bit more challenging after construction is completed, but also more appealing to see and play. Construction causes some confusion at the moment and some challenges with conditions. Would recommend...after construction is complete.

Course under construction
The course was under construction so there was a really confusing hole layout. Some tee boxes were off of old greens and vice versa.

Wait until it’s finished
The course is undergoing changes to become a PGA or Open qualifier. There is a lot of confusion about the layout and the course is not in great shape even out of the construction. Once it’s done it will be awesome. Wait until then. That said, the staff is great and the facilities are very nice.

getting better, BUT...
the course needs to do a better job of WARNING customers of the conditions and of routing golfers around the construction.

Don't Play
The course is under construction and should no be open.
Too many roped off area and temp greens are bad.
Use to love this course, won't come back after being charged hefty rate to play incomplete round.

Construction zone!
I was not warned that there is major construction work ongoing at Oak glen.
many areas roped off and inaccessible. Holes reordered and some temporary greens.and holes.
It was also an extremely hot day, but no drinks cart were out on course or water stops available. Rerouted holes kept us away from clubhouse the whole round!
Normally a good course, this is somewhere to avoid until work is completed. May be some time.........

Under Construction
The course is all torn up and and the holes are out of order with a few temporary greens and tee boxes while they are modifying the course. The GPS on the carts keeps shutting down the cart and requiring you to back up in odd locations greatly slowing down the pace of play. This course needs to make players aware of these issues, before you book a round and drive all the way out for a frustrating round.

Renovations
You should give us a heads up on course renovations. I’m sure when it’s done, it will be nice. It was a big surprise when we got to the second hole and your playing hole 18. I would of played somewhere else if I would of know this.
