About
Singing Hills Golf Club offers two 18-hole championship courses, Oak Glen and Willow Glen, as well as a 9-hole, par-3 course. The courses are tucked into a valley, surrounded by mountains and sloping hillsides that provide stunning backdrops on almost every hole. The Sweetwater River runs through the Oak Glen Course, coming into play on several holes including the memorable fifth hole, which is definitely a contender for one of the best par 4s in San Diego. This challenging hole requires an accurate drive across the river. The gently rolling terrain is sprinkled with mature trees. The layout features undulating greens and tight fairways. It is a challenging golf course but it is generally forgiving off of the tees, which makes it slightly less difficult than the hillier Willow Glen Course on property.

This course has potential
This course is undergoing a major renovation and had multiple temporary greens. It was difficult to follow the hole sequencing because of the construction.
The pace of play was slow having to wait at every hole to tee off, so you could never get into a good consistent rhythm of play.
Once the construction is completed the course will be a very nice and challenging course, but as of now it was a little frustrating figuring out which hole was being played, the pace of play, and playing temporary holes.
the staff was friendly.
The restaurant and bar served had good service and the food was very good.

Construction not worth the price
They are doing construction on the course so they have closed some holes and changes the order that you play the existing holes which makes it confusing and is an inconvenience. They have awful temporary greens and they have you playing some holes that should just be closed. They should be charging less than 1/2the price to play in this condition. Don’t pay to play this course while construction is still going on. It will be beautiful when construction is done so just wait to play.

Construction
Very disappointed. We get to the course and find out there was construction going on. We had several holes closed and about 4 temporary greens. Several holes were shortened to accommodate the construction project. It would have been nice to be told prior to booking our round.

Oak Glen should be closed until they finish their updates. Two holes have no green to put. All other greens are sandy and aerated. Lots of construction through course. If I had known this I would not have played until they are done with construction.

NO disclosure when booked!
The course is being "enhanced" with larger lakes, so some holes have temporary greens. I knew that, what I didn't know, and what wasn't disclosed, is that the greens were sanded and absolutely terrible. It should not have been full price

Was a little disappointed that we weren’t told of all the construction going on throughout the course, but didn’t stop us from enjoying the course, greens were punched, but
This time of year they all are. We played Oak Glen I believe, can’t wait till they finish it, it will be a bear, some point I will be back to play the other course. Overall 4 star experience, cudos to the staff

Warning about Conditions
Oak is a wonderful course but we either missed or got no advance warning that holes were being reconfigured, lake is being improved and all greens were heavily sanded. Should have been about $10 less. Otherwise a beautiful day.

Was not aware that course was in the process of remodeling. Would have appreciated a heads up- especially regarding sand on the greens

Stay away
Course should be closed. Temporary greens, tee boxes and ponds drained (might be a bonus for some). Played holes out of order. Paid $87. No mention of course conditions beforehand. So disappointed, just had to laugh about. What a joke

DO NOT PLAY THIS COURSE
Paid full price for a round with 4 temporary greens. Very confusing layout. Don’t even know if we played a full 18.
My buddy was chipping by one of the greens (couldn’t tell you which one it was) almost got hit by a branch because maintenance was chainsawing trees above him.
I had to play one of my balls of a bobcat digger. The sand looks fluffy but is rock solid.
Don’t play this course until they drop their rates and finish construction. Both need to happen to validate playing this course.

Cours is undergoing some extensive renovations. The routing was easy to follow. When the course is completed it should be a must play in the area. The pace of play was outstanding. A little over 3 hours for 18 holes

Front Nine is a Joke. Bad Experience.
WE played to at least three temporary green as the front nine is all under construction.....TEh regular hole numbers do not align with the temporary scorecard so it is very confusing to the point of being a distraction. There is no slope or course rating so the round cannot be posted. NONE OF THESE FACTORS WERE REPORTED IN ADVANCE BY GOLFNOW SO IT WAS A TOTAL SURPRISE AND I DON;T FEEL LIKE WE RECEIVED A FULL GOLF EXPERIENCE.. This is not right and GolfNow is responsible for this in my opinion.

Course under construction
There are a few make shift holes with tiny greens that aren't even greens, but holy jeez the fairways and greens and tee boxes and absolutely amazing on the normal holes. The course changes are going to be incredible once finished and we couldn't believe how amazing the fairways were. Still very worth playing but be ready to see some odd layouts and construction equipment. I wish other courses would do what this course is doing and upgrade and maintain their courses, our San Diego courses are getting bad. Good job Singing Hills you give me hope as a golfer in SD!! Maybe just drop the price a little while construction is ongoing...

Wait until renovations are done.
They’re adding water hazards and rearranging holes, so the course feels like you’re golfing between a construction site. They didn’t allow carts and didn’t say that prior to the reservation, so we should have at least gotten a discount. It’s a nice course when they aren’t doing construction, so definitely wait until they’re done.

Course was under construction. A lot of make shift holes. Greens were in the middle of fairways. Paid full price, not knowing the course was under construction. Would not recommend.
