About
Singing Hills Golf Resort at Sycuan (formerly known as Sycan Resort) offers two 18-hole championship courses, Oak Glen and Willow Glen, as well as an 18-hole, par-3 course. The courses are tucked into a valley, surrounded by mountains and sloping hillsides that provide stunning backdrops on almost every hole. The Sweetwater River runs through the Oak Glen Course, coming into play on several holes including the memorable fifth hole, which is definitely a contender for one of the best par 4s in San Diego. This challenging hole requires an accurate drive across the river. The gently rolling terrain is sprinkled with mature trees. The layout features undulating greens and tight fairways. It is a challenging golf course but it is generally forgiving off of the tees, which makes it slightly less difficult than the hillier Willow Glen Course from Singing Hills Golf Resort at Sycuan.

Stay away
Course should be closed. Temporary greens, tee boxes and ponds drained (might be a bonus for some). Played holes out of order. Paid $87. No mention of course conditions beforehand. So disappointed, just had to laugh about. What a joke

DO NOT PLAY THIS COURSE
Paid full price for a round with 4 temporary greens. Very confusing layout. Don’t even know if we played a full 18.
My buddy was chipping by one of the greens (couldn’t tell you which one it was) almost got hit by a branch because maintenance was chainsawing trees above him.
I had to play one of my balls of a bobcat digger. The sand looks fluffy but is rock solid.
Don’t play this course until they drop their rates and finish construction. Both need to happen to validate playing this course.

Cours is undergoing some extensive renovations. The routing was easy to follow. When the course is completed it should be a must play in the area. The pace of play was outstanding. A little over 3 hours for 18 holes

Front Nine is a Joke. Bad Experience.
WE played to at least three temporary green as the front nine is all under construction.....TEh regular hole numbers do not align with the temporary scorecard so it is very confusing to the point of being a distraction. There is no slope or course rating so the round cannot be posted. NONE OF THESE FACTORS WERE REPORTED IN ADVANCE BY GOLFNOW SO IT WAS A TOTAL SURPRISE AND I DON;T FEEL LIKE WE RECEIVED A FULL GOLF EXPERIENCE.. This is not right and GolfNow is responsible for this in my opinion.

Course under construction
There are a few make shift holes with tiny greens that aren't even greens, but holy jeez the fairways and greens and tee boxes and absolutely amazing on the normal holes. The course changes are going to be incredible once finished and we couldn't believe how amazing the fairways were. Still very worth playing but be ready to see some odd layouts and construction equipment. I wish other courses would do what this course is doing and upgrade and maintain their courses, our San Diego courses are getting bad. Good job Singing Hills you give me hope as a golfer in SD!! Maybe just drop the price a little while construction is ongoing...

Wait until renovations are done.
They’re adding water hazards and rearranging holes, so the course feels like you’re golfing between a construction site. They didn’t allow carts and didn’t say that prior to the reservation, so we should have at least gotten a discount. It’s a nice course when they aren’t doing construction, so definitely wait until they’re done.

Course under construction
Course was under construction. A lot of make shift holes. Greens were in the middle of fairways. Paid full price, not knowing the course was under construction. Would not recommend.

Blake Reed Oak Glen Review
I was extremely disappointed in this round of golf. The course was under maintenance but that did not prevent the staff from decreasing the price to play. So I just assumed it was still in normal shape. At least 6 holes had temp greens or one hole was made into 2. Very disappointing that they did not share this fact w me. I will never go back to this course as it was not fun at all. This place has so much potential but it is a truly disappointing fact that ownership is not running this facility the way it should be. Other courses extremely discount their rates when the smallest imperfections are in place I.e. airated greens, maintenance, etc. sycuan chose to instead rip off its players. Rude and I will never be back here and make an effort to make sure no one I know wastes their money here.

Course will be nice when repairs are completed. The course page on Golfnow did not indicate several holes were under repair and the temporary greens.

Under Construction
Played the Oaks course for the first time this past weekend but was disappointed when I showed up to check in and they let us know the course was under construction. I wish I knew that when I booked the Tee time on the Golf Now App. 3 or 4 of the holes had temporary Tee's and/or Greens. The holes that were playing normal were in really good shape with lush green fairways and smooth rolling greens. I would recommend waiting until the lake construction is completed before playing this course.

Great golf
We had a wonderful round of golf. It was our first time playing at the course and the signage was great from hole to hole. Fairways and greens were in excellent condition!
This must be a “shill” review. The signage is awful. Read the above reviews. Out of order and confusing. Temp greens and punched terrible sanded conditions without notification yet full price? Don’t play here until construction is done it’s awful for the price.

This course is going to get better when construction is finished.
I played this course while they were constructing a huge water feature. They rerouted the course and had some temporary greens and temporary tee boxes. They gave us a temporary score card and list of the order to play the holes in. there no mention of temporary greens on the list. Despite this, the course was fun to play and I had a great Time. The greens were in excellent shape.

Course Under Reapir
So neither Golf Pass or the pro shop told me the course was under repair I had 2 buddies with me and they added a 4th, we got it end of hole 1 and there was a sign and ropes saying next hole is 18 which had a temp green that was a circle cut into the fairway with a bunch of dead grass could not put, then another sign go to hole 10 for next hole at that point the guy they added with us said o the pro shop gave me a different score card and a list of hole changes yo think they would have gave that to the 3 of us ??.
So after playing hole 10 you go to a make shift hole 10B an 80 yard par 3 it goes on and on with temp tee boxes, temp greens and at a cost of 74.00 they should be ashamed.
I am sure this will be a nice course when it is all done but you need to tell people that you are under construction when the tee times are made

Oak under construction
This course should be half price while construction going on. Temp greens mean you have to wait for golfers to clear before hitting. 90 yard hole! 5+ hour round
