About
Singing Hills Golf Resort at Sycuan (formerly known as Sycan Resort) offers two 18-hole championship courses, Oak Glen and Willow Glen, as well as a 9-hole, par-3 course. The courses are tucked into a valley, surrounded by mountains and sloping hillsides that provide stunning backdrops on almost every hole. The Sweetwater River runs through the Oak Glen Course, coming into play on several holes including the memorable fifth hole, which is definitely a contender for one of the best par 4s in San Diego. This challenging hole requires an accurate drive across the river. The gently rolling terrain is sprinkled with mature trees. The layout features undulating greens and tight fairways. It is a challenging golf course but it is generally forgiving off of the tees, which makes it slightly less difficult than the hillier Willow Glen Course from Singing Hills Golf Resort at Sycuan.

This was the fastest round of golf I have ever played. I should add that I was solo. It was a little confusing because they are doing a major renovation and you have to play around that, and holes are out of order, but the course is in great shape, and it was a very enjoyable 3 hours

Under construction
They were under construction so was messed up by changing holes. But since only few people playing the fairway was good and but green were bad.

Great Value
Tho the water holes are currently being reimagined, the course is still quite playable and enjoyable. Greens are in awesome shape as are the fairways. Pace was reasonable and practice facility was more than adequate for warm ups and practice.
This is an extremely well run venue from check-in to the starter. Ample parking and the dining options are satisfying.
An excellent location for recreational golf, practice, business outing or simply to remove yourself from City hustle and bustle.

Major re-construction
Course gave notice about the re-work. Lots of changes coming for the better and, lots of more water/ponds to mess with your head.

Golf now is at fault here
I got a golf deal with this website and sycuan is usually very good great course but…. They i guess shared with golf now that they will be walking only and i still bought a cart and tee time combo instead of just going to sycuans website and paying less if i knew i was gonna be walking… then when i tried to stop it they informed me i have to contact golf now. Then when i go to the contact page it only gives me a option to leave a review so here i am…

Distance information
Some of the holes were under renovation, so there was a lack of distance information to the hole.

No notice, course under construction. Layout is a maze. New course seems promising but until the , I’d avoid.

very bad condition
really bad golf cors,they charge to much for that. I will not play for at least year. Really bad. Very disappointed how much they charge..

This course has potential
This course is undergoing a major renovation and had multiple temporary greens. It was difficult to follow the hole sequencing because of the construction.
The pace of play was slow having to wait at every hole to tee off, so you could never get into a good consistent rhythm of play.
Once the construction is completed the course will be a very nice and challenging course, but as of now it was a little frustrating figuring out which hole was being played, the pace of play, and playing temporary holes.
the staff was friendly.
The restaurant and bar served had good service and the food was very good.

Construction not worth the price
They are doing construction on the course so they have closed some holes and changes the order that you play the existing holes which makes it confusing and is an inconvenience. They have awful temporary greens and they have you playing some holes that should just be closed. They should be charging less than 1/2the price to play in this condition. Don’t pay to play this course while construction is still going on. It will be beautiful when construction is done so just wait to play.

Construction
Very disappointed. We get to the course and find out there was construction going on. We had several holes closed and about 4 temporary greens. Several holes were shortened to accommodate the construction project. It would have been nice to be told prior to booking our round.

Oak Glen should be closed until they finish their updates. Two holes have no green to put. All other greens are sandy and aerated. Lots of construction through course. If I had known this I would not have played until they are done with construction.

NO disclosure when booked!
The course is being "enhanced" with larger lakes, so some holes have temporary greens. I knew that, what I didn't know, and what wasn't disclosed, is that the greens were sanded and absolutely terrible. It should not have been full price

Was a little disappointed that we weren’t told of all the construction going on throughout the course, but didn’t stop us from enjoying the course, greens were punched, but
This time of year they all are. We played Oak Glen I believe, can’t wait till they finish it, it will be a bear, some point I will be back to play the other course. Overall 4 star experience, cudos to the staff

Warning about Conditions
Oak is a wonderful course but we either missed or got no advance warning that holes were being reconfigured, lake is being improved and all greens were heavily sanded. Should have been about $10 less. Otherwise a beautiful day.

Was not aware that course was in the process of remodeling. Would have appreciated a heads up- especially regarding sand on the greens
