About
Singing Hills Golf Resort at Sycuan (formerly known as Sycan Resort) offers two 18-hole championship courses, Oak Glen and Willow Glen, as well as an 18-hole, par-3 course. The courses are tucked into a valley, surrounded by mountains and sloping hillsides that provide stunning backdrops on almost every hole. The Sweetwater River runs through the Oak Glen Course, coming into play on several holes including the memorable fifth hole, which is definitely a contender for one of the best par 4s in San Diego. This challenging hole requires an accurate drive across the river. The gently rolling terrain is sprinkled with mature trees. The layout features undulating greens and tight fairways. It is a challenging golf course but it is generally forgiving off of the tees, which makes it slightly less difficult than the hillier Willow Glen Course from Singing Hills Golf Resort at Sycuan.

Under construction
Oak Glen is under construction. Away from the construction zones, the course is beautiful. I did enjoy playing. However, the holes around construction zones are crap. Jumping around from hole 1 to 10, then back to 3. A makeshift four. Then a temp "green" on another hole. Made scoring a pain and definitely not worth the $$.
Stick with Willow Glen for now. I hear project won't be complete until September

Save your money under construction
Save your money under construction. Total waste of money temporary greens driving all over the place in between tractors piping piles of sand total disappointment nobody said a word for the price. We understood why we didn’t see anybody else on the course. Was given a small piece of paper with the mapping of what holes to drive to. Almost felt like you were in a maze! Waste of money for the next two years!

Under Construction
Have to say how to terrible experience at singing Hills golf course. The course is under construction for a project that’s going to take two years now. It’s not told on GolfNow it’s not told by the staff at the course. They seem to give you a piece of paper with instructions on how they illustrate 18 holes of golf. The course under construction is so bad it’s a joke to try to play in between all the equipment all the holes going back-and-forth. They have 3 to 4 temporary putting greens and by putting greens I mean the grass shorter than the actual fairway grass such a joke. I paid over $300 for a round of golf for four people and never felt for a minute that I got my moneys worth. So after I spoke to the manager Allen which gave me about a minute of his time and then responded to me with what you want your money back. So unprofessional I said no more and just left. That was my experience

Course re-make
The course is under a major renovation. I would have never played it if I had known. Temporary greens, excavations, and a temporary par 3 that used to be a practice chipping green. It's in terrible shape right now. It might be nice when the renovations are complete, but don't bother until it's finished.

Either reduce rate for oak or close until construction done, gps not accurate on some holes and temporary green were terrible

Under Construction but Excellent
Oaks is undergoing a face change so playing holes 1-18 in sequence is not possible. You will receive a card with the temporary sequence. For example, you will play 1, then 18 and so on. Outside of construction equipment and a few soil-mound lined fairways, Oaks was in the best shape I've seen in awhile. The rearranged play of holes was kinda nice.

False Advertising
Singing Hills has two courses: Willow Glen & Oak Glen. Apparently, Oak began a massive remodeling process at beginning of the year. Holes 2, 3, & 4 are under major construction. As a result, management has had to completely reorganize the order in which that course is played. Holes were shortened, re-routed, and make-shift greens were created to attempt to still have a playable track. But the new holes were in bad shape. Needless to say if one played this course, it should not have been anywhere near full price. However none of these changes were mentioned AT ALL at the pro shop and very understated online. The starter only casually brought it up before we teed off. $85 to putt on 3+ fairway “greens” is ridiculous. When asked about a price alteration after the round, the staff was coarsely dismissive and borderline rude and aggressive. On top of Singing Hills basically doubling their yearly membership fee while reducing alleged member “benefits”, I will no longer be seeking out tee times or joining friends to play there. I understand times are tough for courses around the nation, but this is unsatisfactory.

We were ripped off
We played 2 days ago and there were 3 temporary greens and golf now nor the course told us until we showed up. Course was in terrible condition besides that. Total rip off

Currently Under Renovation
Oak Glen is currently under renovation so you are re-routed to other holes and some are cut short with no real tee boxes or greens. The temporary greens are rough. Aside from that the course is fun to play with great scenery and a couple elevated tee-boxes.

Poor Condition
Have played this course in the past but was very disappointed with the conditions this time.
The course is undergoing major renovations and we were routed in a most bizarre combination of holes, temporary tee boxes and temporary greens.
Had we known that this was going to be the case we would never have booked and certainly would not have paid full price.
There was no mention of the course being this torn up when we booked on line.

Course Renovations, But Full Price
Be warned that you'll be skipping a hole or two because of renovations. 3 or 4 temporary greens that were pretty bad. I still had fun though, but I thought the price was high for the course under serious renovations.

Course under construction
When I booked my tee time on GolfNow, there was not indication that Oak Glen was in terrible condition with temp greens, moved up tee boxes on the fairways, and hole #4 being shut down. Moreover, had to play holes out of order with constustion tape and worked all over the place. This has been my worste experience with golf now and the Singing Hills Resort. There is no way they should be charging full price without disclosing course condition at time of purchase or at the pro-shop! Just my two cents.

Construction
Don’t come here until they are done with construction. Temporary tee boxes and greens were god awful. I’ll come play again but not until it’s back to normal.

Under Construction - Horrible Conditions
The Oak Glen golf course is in terrible shape. They are making major changes to the course. As a result of the ongoing construction, greens, fairways, and entire holes are closed. When you play the course now, you will play the holes out of order to accommodate the construction crews. It is ridiculous the course is even open at all. They didn't disclose any of this when I booked my tee time. DO NOT waste your time or money playing here until they finish the work which is extensive!
