Singing Hills Golf Resort at Sycuan - Oak Glen
About
Singing Hills Golf Resort at Sycuan (formerly known as Sycan Resort) offers two 18-hole championship courses, Oak Glen and Willow Glen, as well as a 9-hole, par-3 course. The courses are tucked into a valley, surrounded by mountains and sloping hillsides that provide stunning backdrops on almost every hole. The Sweetwater River runs through the Oak Glen Course, coming into play on several holes including the memorable fifth hole, which is definitely a contender for one of the best par 4s in San Diego. This challenging hole requires an accurate drive across the river. The gently rolling terrain is sprinkled with mature trees. The layout features undulating greens and tight fairways. It is a challenging golf course but it is generally forgiving off of the tees, which makes it slightly less difficult than the hillier Willow Glen Course from Singing Hills Golf Resort at Sycuan.

Fun outing
Course is in pretty good shape and is well maintained. I would like a greater marshal presence as slow play ruins a nice outing. It should not fall to the players to motivate golfers who can’t keep up a decent pace of play.
Water/marshals
Played this past weekend probably 100degrees both days and no water available anywhere on the course anywhere except for purchase if it's 100 or even 90 course should have water available they had water fountains but they did not work unbelievable and as for the marshals we saw one just sitting under a nice shade tree, saw him three or four times under that same tree didn't do much for the slow pace of play, five hour round.
Exceptionally Average, Overpriced
Beyond the scenery, there's really nothing much to talk about here. Was able to get a deal time, so made it an OK deal, but don't know how they get $83 weekend green fees. Simply not worth it. Most holes just go back and forth and lack character and the conditions of fairways were spotty. Greens were in pretty good shape, but spongy. Would not pay more than $50 to play here.
Pace of play was slow - 5 hour round. Saw ranger twice each 9 and he said he was on a few slow groups but pace was just slow.
good day of golf
oak glen is a fun course, not the hardest, but between wind and mature trees, it's a good test. bunkers are very good, the greens rolled well considering they are very spongy. oak glen is often looked upon as the lesser course to willow glen, but I enjoy it just as much.
Fun Course in East County San Diego
Beyond the majestic views and the scenic course layout, this course was fun because it was playable and challenging. From tee to green, the course rewards the long driver as well as the accurate shooter. It was a pleasant change for me. I definitely want to play golf here again.
No Drinking Water
Be prepared to bring or buy water. Snack Cart only sells and NO marshals to monitor play let alone have water. 2 fountains and one of them not working. Nothing new as wasn't working last week either on Oak,
PERFECT DAY
PERFECT TEMPRATURE,GOOD PEOPLE,EXCELLENT VALUE! COURSE CONDITIONS WERE VERY GOOD.
WHAT ELSE COULD YOU ASK FOR!
Very demanding course with extremely tricky greens. Very well kept course and nice people. Had a great time. Highly recommend the course. Not a long course, but you will still really be challenged!
Great Course
Really nice course. Had a great breakfast and got out promptly at my tee time. The greens were a little bumpy but nothing major. Shout out to the Course Marshals, they were very friendly and did a great job of working us around a slow group.
It was such a great day, 36 was in order so we played Willow as well. Different course but just as much fun.
I’ll be back.
Fun course!
Super fun course! Can't wait to go back! Pro shop people could've been a little more cordial but.... starter and cart girls were awesome!!
Course was in great condition. Clubhouse staff appeared indifferent.
Top course in east county
Overall great round as usual at this course.
The only negative thing that occurred was the female starter was asked if we (2some) could play the other side (Willow) since no one was on the course and no one was around at all..She said no since we had a "discount" tee time.
Now before you say anything, keep in mind we play here very often and on several occasions there have never been a problem with the request when asked or if the tee box is open, we'd be allowed to tee off prior to our scheduled tee time.
The conversation started off with me approaching the starter booth saying "hi, I've got a request if you don't mind". The response was harsh by the way she said "What"! with a bad attitude.
She had us wait until just before our scheduled tee time allowing 2 other 2somes off before us that were not even seen in the area for over 15-20
Minutes after my request..we just kept practicing putting while we waited.
We could have easily teed off on either side and been long gone before anyone Had even showed up.
There's something to be said about handling things by the "letter" VS the "spirit".
Awesome course
Awesome course, fairways are great! Greens rolled true. Can’t wait to return
