Singing Hills Golf Resort at Sycuan - Willow Glen
About
Willow Glen is one of two 18-hole championship courses at Singing Hills Golf Resort at Sycuan (formerly known as Sycuan Resort), which also boasts an 18-hole, par-3 course. Nestled in a valley between lush hillsides, the golf courses all offer stunning mountain views. The mountains also help to block the wind, which allows for more agreeable playing conditions. Willow Glen is slightly more challenging than the other championship course due to a hillier terrain and more fairways that are tightly lined with mature pines, oaks, and cottonwoods. The trees shape the landing zones and add definition to the doglegs. Proper placement off the tees is necessary for doing well on this course. Contoured mounding borders the greensides as well as more than 40 bunkers. Water also comes into play on six holes. The 11th through the 15th holes are an impressive stretch that presents a variety of challenges as well as unrivaled scenery.

Keep this course beautiful.
Played on Nov 9, 2019. The Willow course is under maintenance so "Cart Path Only". But it is OK as we want to enjoy the golf in green lush fairway. Every time I play here, I feel this is one of the best golf courses in San Diego. One thing I am concerned about is the "Play Fee". Hopefully it can be lowered if all the golfers try to care more for the course maintenance.
Great day at singing hills
The course is in great shape only the greens
Have been punched and sanded.
But I knew that before the round and still decided to play.
Great day
Awesome day Labor Day weekend still finished in less than 4 hours greens were a bit slow but in great condition
For the first time playing this course I was not happy with the way the course is run. There was a shotgun tournament going on and they did not plan accordingly. I teed off 45 minutes late and because of the tournament the pace of play was horrific. I am aware there is nothing that can be done about the weather, but there wasn't much shade at the tee boxes to wait comfortably. Every course I have ever played at that has a tournament going on, has made preparations to not have any tee times during the tournament to keep the pace going.
Good shape but...
It was slow! Can’t complain about the course conditions but the pace of play was not great. It took nearly an hour to play the first 3 holes before we saw a Marshal. To their credit, they did handle the problem.
Fun course ! Great views !!
Really enjoyed the course, views, staff and amenities. Would play again if in area.
Great course for the money
Played Willow Glenn on a hot deal. Fun course with great amenities and friendly staff. Pace was great for front 9 but pretty slow for back. Marshall did come around and try to move things along though. Recommend playing when not too hot. Also, despite the aeration warning, the greens were almost perfect. I’ll definitely be back.
Very well maintained and beautiful
Beautiful course, friendly staff, challenging enough and good pace of play. Nothing bad to say about the course at all. Highly recommend.
Great condition
We played Willow Glen at Singing Hills. The fairways and the greens were in great conditions and rolled well. The staff was very friendly.
Great course, poor fairways
I’ve played here more than 10 times. I have just about the same critique normally: very nice smooth greens, great layout, pro shop staff less than friendly! Marshall did nothing to speed up play, 4:40 pace! Many Fairways had little grass which I don’t understand at all, too thin, mowed far too short which is tough to play and requires more watering. I also played the week prior and the starter put me with a couple who were playing in a shotgun which I did not know. Got to the 4th hole and they told me it was their last hole, which left me hi and dry, playing alone, behind a slow 4-some. I skipped a hole to join a 3-some on 6. This exact thing has happened to me before at this place, which is absolutely inexcusable by the pro-shop and or starter!! I will play here again and hope for some common sense on the part of the staff.
Willow Glenn at Singing Hills
This is one of my favorite courses in East County San Diego. Course is in great shape as usual, greens are a little slower than normal but roll true.
Cold but fun day
Considering it's rained heavily the past week, the course was in great shape. I was expecting cart path only but it wasn't (pleasant surprise).
This was my 2nd time playing this course and I think I prefer it over Oak Glen. Some tight holes, some "swing away" holes and great scenery. The greens were a little slow but I think the weather caused some of that.
Pace of play was good and it was a good day overall. I'll definitely be back.
Willow glen
This is the second time I’ve played willow glen and didn’t complete the round. 3 hours and we made it through 10 holes. We used our gift cards and it was a total waste.
Great course, well mantained
Had a great time at the course. First 5 holes flew by. However, by the 6th hole, we encountered golfers and from that moment forward, were always waiting about 3-5 minutes before every shot, which get us off rhythm. Noticed there were a lot of twosomes, so wondering if making groups go out as 4somes would speed things up. Only encountered the drink girl once, but the snack bar was accessible from various holes. Overall, I'd give it an A-
Fun for all levels of play
We played the Willows Course, there are three courses available.
The course condition was pretty good for playing in December, could have used a hair cut but you always had a decent lie.
Great views and nice layout. A very fair and fun course that we will definitely play again.
Brutal
I saw the $89 rate and thought it was a steal.
The round took over 5 hours, the course is in baaad shape. Greens at like carpet, rest of the course is barren.
Marshals never moved anyone along- or spoke to anyone in general, when you play early on a Saturday, you don't want that.
I told my buddie it was a first and last time for me.
No thanks.
PLAY AGAIN
THERE WERE SOME DRY BURN SPOTS ON YHE EDGES OF THE GREEN ON SOME HOLES.
THE FAIR WAY WAS BETTER THAN THE USUAL DRY CALIFORNIA FAIR WAY THAT WE GET THIS TIME OF THE SESAOM
