Ballyclare Golf Club

I’ve played Ballyclare a few times last year and really enjoyed it, but this is the first time I’ve played it in dryish conditions.

The fairways and greens were in great shape. The greens rolled true and were quick. The course is challenging, if the 2nd 9 is a bit more dull than the front.

The facilities are excellent, there’s a driving range at the club shop and the clubhouse has brilliant views over the course and the food is excellent

The course was in great order I played the course a few years ago didn't enjoy it but yesterday really enjoyed it will definitely go back again

Course was in tip top condition, going round the staff were out cutting the fairways, they pulled over as soon as we arrived to play keeping the game smooth. It.was a great day.

Not a stranger to this course, I wasn’t expecting it to be in good nick due to extreme dry weather followed by the opposite in recent days. The green keepers have done a great job. Greens immaculate and fairways pretty decent too. Only criticism is that, for a guest to the course for the first time, it has no signs for direction at all and it’s not obvious. The tee boxes have blacked out signs with no hole information on them, but looks like that’s a work in progress.

Ballyclare was in great condition - Jul 2021.

The first 11 holes are really really good. From 12 onwards sadly its a bit back and forth back up the hill. Still worth a trip to.

Also not a great course to only play a reduced number of holes.

Definately worth a visit.

Lovely course to play just a couple things that need fixed up, like temporary numbers at the tee box till the boards are fixed up

The course was very well kept and the golf was challenging but really enjoyable.

As the title says enjoyable day was had by all.

The course was in very good condition.

The greens are extremely good, was very impressed.

A nice balance of difficult and easy holes, if there’s such a thing as an easy hole.

Pro shop could not have been more helpful.

Finished our day off with a nice bar lunch in the club house.

Will definitely go back if today was anything to go by.

Unfortunately there were only 13 holes open when we played but as we booked via an on line app we didn't find this out until we arrived! Asked for a refund of part of our green fee but as yet am still waiting for it to arrive in my bank account! The course is fantastic to play in the summer but doesn't drain as quickly as other courses and expect to loss a lot of golf balls due to plugging! But the layout of this course makes it hard to hold a grudge!

Very slow pace of play. Must have been ladies day, disappointing because I was playin on my own and nobody invited me to play through.. I watched a group of ladies hit around 10+ shots per hole it was soul destroying. Course was very wet and muddy, lots of leaves due to autumn and only 12 holes open. Not much fun. 2/10.
