The course was in fantastic condition a credit to the Green keepers. Staff at reception very friendly and welcoming.
Great track not far from Belfast
Really enjoyed my first visit to Greenacres. Well laid out alright great facilities and friendly staff. The course has plenty of variety and many challenging holes with the signature hole being the lovely dog leg over water on the 18th. The front 9 pins would benefit from brighter coloured flags while there is a mix of rocks & stones with sand in some of the bunkers. I understand that a lot of clubs are finding the high cost of top quality sand a challenge. Overall, I really enjoyed the course and will definitely return to play Greenacres again.
Members dont deserve it
if you are a member of this club, repair your pitchmarks! the greens wouldve been excellent for this time of year if not for the amount of unrepaired pitchmarks. Also lads whats with the fly tipping of old mats and rubbish. Very Bad looking.
As for the course. Its December after a storm, it was in good condition, the course is challenging although there is a lot of blind shots. Some markers for where the greeens are would help a visitor.
Slowest greens ever
Greens were so slow- paid £26 quid each for a ball and there’s better courses for that money .
Was using the practice green and thought “I hope the main greens are a bit faster than this”.
They weren’t.
Add in the lack of sand on any and all bunkers, the fact that most holes bar a couple par 3s over water are just featureless and Greenacres is just incredibly forgettable .
Staff and other members perfectly nice, just not a course I’d ever rush back to.
Wonderful surroundings to play golf
Great course with various degrees of difficulty on various holes , played with son (been before) + nephew + brother-in-law (first time) and everyone enjoyed it + stated they'd play it again
Great course with potential to be better. A decent challenge of golf and some lovely holes. Bunkers and tee boxes could do with a little work.
Variety and quality
Fairways in great condition with good variety from one to the next. Greens had just been sanded so a bit harder to read. Early in the year for sanding perhaps.
It was a glorious sunny day so a very enjoyable round.
Good facilities at reception for visitors. A driving range, putting and chipping areas. What more could one ask for
Well kept with a fun 18th hole
Very well maintained course, greens were great. 18th hole is a great challenge to end on
Great course layout
The course was in great condition but the pace of play was very very slow as there was two four balls infront of us. We stood on every tee box for at least 10-15 mins for them to get far enough up the fairway for us to tee off.
