Course Highlights
Crescent Pointe's staff consistently earns high praise for their warmth and genuine commitment to making every round memorable. The challenging layout featuring marsh hazards and fast, true-rolling greens delivers strong value in the Bluffton area.

Crescent Pointe Golf Club in Bluffton is Arnold Palmer's only public course in the area. It is conveniently located just a few minutes west of the bridge leaving Hilton Head Island. Opened in 2000, the course has quickly gained a reputation as being one of the Lowcountry's best. Sprawling across a lush landscape blanketed with century-old oaks and towering pines, the layout is as scenic as it is challenging. While the generous fairways may be player friendly, the difficult approaches to the elevated, well bunkered greens are anything but. The large, pristine white sand bunkers were designed in true Palmer-style, closely following the natural undulations of the land. The gently rolling terrain is unique for the area. Crescent Pointe Golf Club's elevation changes aren't dramatic but they do provide some subtle, but tricky undulations in the greens that make it hard to find a flat lie.

Average to poor condition. Great layout!

We played Crescent Pointe in July 2024 and thought it was in decent shape. I’m not sure what’s happened since, but the overall condition of the golf course has regressed. It’s a shame because the layout is excellent!

Course in good shape

The condition of this course has improved since we played here last. Fairways and greens are in good condition. The man that check us in was very nice. However, the starter was rude, short tempered and sarcastic. With that said, I think the course is a good value and we will play it again.

Needs work

I'm told this course was recently purchased and the new owners are trying to improve the course. The cart paths are horrible. Several greens had some sort of blight that causes the groundskeepers to add a green/dry covering which caused havoc when putting. I'm hopeful it improves.

Great course

I’m from out of town visiting from Illinois, best bang for your buck! Tough course, beautiful scenery, lots of wildlife(deer, baby gators, birds…etc.), rented clubs and the man at the desk walked them out to our cart, got us all set up! It was a great experience all around! Would recommend, would play again when I come back!

Tight fairways

22 handicap played from whites. Definitely need to stay in short grass as the other parts of fairway were long grass and easy to lose ball. Found 8 on first hole while looking for mine.

Very nice course and experience overall. Friendly staff.

Making improvements

Two years ago you couldn’t have paid me to play the Crescent, it was in really bad shape. I’m giving a good rating for condition because there has then considerable improvement. Has a way to go before it reaches Hilton head, national golf club conditions, but it’s much better than any of the other public golf courses in Bluffton
