About
Crescent Pointe Golf Club in Bluffton is Arnold Palmer's only public course in the area. It is conveniently located just a few minutes west of the bridge leaving Hilton Head Island. Opened in 2000, the course has quickly gained a reputation as being one of the Lowcountry's best. Sprawling across a lush landscape blanketed with century-old oaks and towering pines, the layout is as scenic as it is challenging. While the generous fairways may be player friendly, the difficult approaches to the elevated, well bunkered greens are anything but. The large, pristine white sand bunkers were designed in true Palmer-style, closely following the natural undulations of the land. The gently rolling terrain is unique for the area. Crescent Pointe Golf Club's elevation changes aren't dramatic but they do provide some subtle, but tricky undulations in the greens that make it hard to find a flat lie.

It’s awful
We haven’t played this course in a long time and it was awful. The greens and tee boxes were a mess. Even the cart paths were bad but at least the pro shop made us aware of them being under repair although we saw very little evidence of repair. We played with a resident of the community and he mostly plays elsewhere. He feels that the community home value suffers from the poor golf course. Unless management changes we will not go back. We remember this course as being a very nice track but no longer.

Better Course Conditions
This course was in better shape several weeks ago when we played it. Greens were terrible, tee boxes awful and fairways fair!!

Needs work
Have played this course twice in past years and enjoyed it. Needs a lot of attention to get back to it's former condition on greens and fairways. Disappointing. May try it again in about 3 years.

Great layout. Grass needs work
The layout of the course is interesting. The fairway and greens need work. Maybe because its Feb?

Course was in poor condition. The tees where rough with bare patches, greens where patchy and poorly maintained. If the course is sprinklered they have not been used. Given the condition of the course we would have expected to pay a most $25 each. Poor value for the price and we booked under a hot deal, would never pay full price for this course. Other than the friendly staff it is hard to find anything positive, the layout is challenging and would be enjoyable if the conditions met the price point.

Terrible!!
Either they invest some money in the place or shut it down. Golfnow should drop this from their list. Not worth anywhere near what they are asking to play this dump.
They even had a mole track right thru part of green on #5 hole. Never seen that in my life. See photo.

Super slow pace on a Saturday morning
Greens and tees need some investment and TLC. Layout very nice and had some good challenges.

Love the layout of this course but it is not worth playing. Tee boxes, fairways, rough areas were substandard and the greens, while very fast, were filled with poa annua causing crazy rolls. Cart paths were horrendous, sometimes dangerous. Course is in badly needed attention and it is a shame because the development around it is very attractive.

Green’s keeper died
Worst greens in area that have played in last 2 months. Had to declare ground under on 18th green. Nice Palmer layout. Put some money into course

Fairways and tee boxes need work. Many tee boxes void of grass and many fairways in rough shape. I assume this was because time of year and conditions will improve during springtime. Fun layout and staff is very friendly.

There were so many dead leaves on the fairways that we kept losing balls. You absolutely could not find them even when you knew exactly where they landed
We had 2 groups behind us so we just had to move on to the next hole.
