About
Crescent Pointe Golf Club in Bluffton is Arnold Palmer's only public course in the area. It is conveniently located just a few minutes west of the bridge leaving Hilton Head Island. Opened in 2000, the course has quickly gained a reputation as being one of the Lowcountry's best. Sprawling across a lush landscape blanketed with century-old oaks and towering pines, the layout is as scenic as it is challenging. While the generous fairways may be player friendly, the difficult approaches to the elevated, well bunkered greens are anything but. The large, pristine white sand bunkers were designed in true Palmer-style, closely following the natural undulations of the land. The gently rolling terrain is unique for the area. Crescent Pointe Golf Club's elevation changes aren't dramatic but they do provide some subtle, but tricky undulations in the greens that make it hard to find a flat lie.

Course conditions
Tee boxes had sparse grass coverage. Greens were diseased and slow. Cart paths under repair but nothing being done on them. Course definitely not what it was five years ago.

Great Course
Haven't played this course in over 15 years. I wasn't sure what to and I was pleasantly surprised. The greens were in very good condition and rolled nicely. It was cool cloudy morning and we didn't see another golfer behind or in front of us. Played 18 under 4 hours. Got a much lower price on Golf Now.

Off season
Went with my son. We are not great golfers so take that into consideration. The cart paths were under repair. No issue as there were signs advising before we played. The course was very nice, greens hard and fast. Fairways and bunkers in good shape. Definitely ready for winter maintenance though, as many divots in landing areas. Tee boxes were a bit bare but not an issue for us. Overall the course was nice and we had a great time. Would like to see it in full prime condition. Went on Saturday morning and didn’t see another golfer until we stopped on the turn. Gotta love the off season .

Has Possibilities
The practice area was in terrible condition. Literally no turf - just sandy soil to hit from. Fairways were thin in a lot of places. Several greens were in bad condition. However, it is a wonderful layout and if it gets fixed…..

Great value play
I was able to experience this course last week while on vacation with another couple. My buddy and I are not good golfers...matter of fact we generally don't even keep score when we're on vacation. That being said, I was happy to see that the ratings for this course proved to be accurate. And if your able to grab a Hot Deal for this course, you will be happy with your purchase.

Good bones but course needs TLC
Ok value at best for the price
Some tee boxes in rough shape. Greens slow. Some traps in rough shape. Cart paths being fixed in numerous spots
Fairways in decent shape. Better course to play for a few extra dollars. It's a shame because the layout can be challenging but the course needs work

Cart Paths under repair
Cart paths need repair and they had a crew working on them. There is lots of work needed to get them back in commission. Course was in fair shape and would be a difference experience when cart paths are repaired.

Great Layout and Playable
Course is a great layout, nothing tricky, and very playable for any level. Only issue there needs to be work on improving the condition of the tee boxes. Otherwise, reasonable condition.

Fair Value
This course needs some TLC. It is surprising to me that many courses in the Bluffton area are this expensive to play when the course conditions are this poor. The course had nearly 30% of the cart paths torn out for replacement. The greens were fair but had many weeds. Recommend play but find a discounted price.
