About
Crescent Pointe Golf Club in Bluffton is Arnold Palmer's only public course in the area. It is conveniently located just a few minutes west of the bridge leaving Hilton Head Island. Opened in 2000, the course has quickly gained a reputation as being one of the Lowcountry's best. Sprawling across a lush landscape blanketed with century-old oaks and towering pines, the layout is as scenic as it is challenging. While the generous fairways may be player friendly, the difficult approaches to the elevated, well bunkered greens are anything but. The large, pristine white sand bunkers were designed in true Palmer-style, closely following the natural undulations of the land. The gently rolling terrain is unique for the area. Crescent Pointe Golf Club's elevation changes aren't dramatic but they do provide some subtle, but tricky undulations in the greens that make it hard to find a flat lie.

Course was in very good shape two greens were in bad shape but on a whole a great day of go
F played 18 holes in 3 1/2 hours
Just OK
Crescent Point was just ok. Very dry conditions. Tee boxes badly beat up. Fairways were ok and most of the greens were good. Average challenging from the whites. Probably should’ve played from the blues. I’m a 6 handicap. My only disappointment was that I expected better playing conditions. It had a very old course feel looking beat up. Happy to have played it, but will play a different course next time on Hilton Head.

Crescent Point golf
Challenging course, requires shot making, and strategic layups.
Pace of play was an issue, over 4 1/2 hours.

Nice Surprise
Really enjoyed the course! It was in very good condition for this time of year. Cart paths are in need of repair. Beautiful scenery, nicely laid out course, professional and friendly staff. Really happy and will be back again for sure!!

Needs some TLC!
Arnold Palmer drew me here, but he’d be upset with the conditions. It looks like most of the course has been under water for some time.
The majority of the tee boxes are sandy and sparse while the greens are grainy and inconsistent. The strangest part was the bunkers! Many have been overgrown with grass.
I still had fun but I wish I’d only paid $35-$40 for the round. The carts were horrible! It took an average of 20 stomps to engage the brake.
Anyway, it was a fair place if you pay a small price. I paid too much for a hot deal.

Poor Shape
The course has an interesting layout but unfortunately it was in really rough shape. Water logged, dead and dying grass all over the course… very disappointed overall.

Very Tired Golf Course
The course has some very good holes but the condition of the course is really bad. The tees were very worn. The fairways were inconsistent. The sand traps were atrocious, mostly devoid of sand or the sand was hard packed. There were a number of bunkers that were apparently abandoned that had patchy grass and weeds growing in the trap. The greens were OK, a couple were in pretty bad shape. This course could be so much better if it was properly maintained.

Friendly staff, nice layout, not great condition
Loved the layout of the course but the greens and fairways were in worse shape than expected for the price of the round. Staff was friendly and would play it again but I would wait for off season or twilight rates.

Enjoy this course
Had lots of rain days before playing and fairways were damp. Cart paths could use alot of work. Course has challenges but is fun to play.

Too bad
I've played Crescent Pointe almost every year for the past decade. Then with COVID I missed a year. Unfortunately this course has really gone downhill in the meantime.

Great course, poor condition
A little disappointed., layout was great but course needs some updating. Most of the carts paths were broken and heaved.

Over priced although they had had a lot of rain.
