Indian Bayou Golf Club

We started at noon with no one in front of us so we had a great round. Fairways and greens in good condition. There was some work on the water hazards but it did not affect play. I would recommend this course.

Paid a hundred dollars to be behind a bachelor party of 14. Played a five hour round and know one came to make them pick the pace up

Indian Bayou is a very nice course. If you want to avoid the water hazards found in some of the other courses this is the course. The greens were perfect! They are the Best in Destin.

Golf was good despite cool and windy conditions. Greens and fairways very nice. Several challenging and interesting holes..

Nice course. It is nicely laid out and is pleasant to play. Fair and a bit of a challenge but not a monster to play or score well on. It is in somewhat of a winter condition so there is some brown area over most holes. However, I did not find that to be distracting or difficult to play in. Overall, very nice place to play.

There was a five-some in front of us. They did move along, but there was waiting periods. We asked the pro shop if this was routine and they said yes. I do not believe a five-some should be allowed on the course.

Course in great condition. Fun course, not overly challenging. Pace of play excellent.

I really enjoyed Indian Bayou. I played in February, so the Bermuda grass was dormant. The greens are finally getting some grass to grow, which improved the predictability. There are just a few water hazards and no forced Carrie’s, so the course is friendly to higher handicappers. But the placement of sand traps poses a challenge for all golfers. We played early morning (7:48) and played in just over 4 hours. The greens fees are also lower than the rest of the Destin courses. Nice facility and friendly staff. Highly recommended!

We played two other, well-known, more expensive, courses around Destin but this one was my favorite. I bet it’s a lot nicer with the water features filled. They were drained, presumably for dredging. Staff very friendly. Atmosphere was professional but not pretentious.
