About
The Aquila Golf Course facility offers two golf courses; one is a championship length course while the other is a par-3, nine-hole course. The championship course provides an excellent game of golf for an affordable price. There are scenic views of mountains and downtown Phoenix as well as a challenging layout featuring several water hazards and bunkers. Although the terrain is rather hilly, it is still relatively walkable. The course has an excellent range of holes that each have a unique character, the par 5's are especially notable. Native grasses and wildflowers are also present on Aquila's Championship course, further adding to its natural beauty.

Pleasantly Surprised
We will definitely play this course again. It was very nice. We have golfed numerous courses in Phoenix, down to Tucson, including Tucson. As everyone knows, when it is baseball season, prices go way up. This was the month of April. The fee we paid was well worth it. Out of all the courses in PHX, the very good ones are VERY EXPENSIVE. Thus, this course is well worth the .price .

Aguila Again
We truly enjoy this course. It is tough but fair and has some really great holes. The pace of play has been and continues to be a problem. There is no reason for that to be a 4 + hour round of golf.

Good Value
Short par fours slow pace a little but not a big deal. Sand seemed a little thin but great value for the money. Good layout. Strenuous but walkable.

Played it since inception
Have always enjoyed this public layout ! Co diction has improved every year like most courses.
Staff has always been friendly and efficient.
I live 45 minutes from this course, wish it was closer but once there good value , excellent layout and well worth the drive. !

Enjoyed our day, good opportunities to practice with chipping area, range and putting green. Had some delicious Cheeseburgers at the turn. Course was in excellent shape.

First timer
First time at this course. Greens were great actually ran pretty slow. Challenging course if you miss the fairway. Thoroughly enjoyed it. They let a single go off in front of a two some which was weird. Guy should have played with us but he wanted to be terrible alone apparently. Mr shankopotamus for sure.

Really well taken care of Muni. Great place to walk a Par 3 course as a warm up and then do a round of 18 overlooking the beautiful south Mountain.

Slow play, as usual
A ranger with a handgun/baseball bat/ whip is needed on most golf courses. Aguila does not have rangers to move the elderly and walkers along.

Excellent Course
Layout and condition of this course are both excellent, especially for a muni. Course was very crowded, but our 4some played in 4:15 not too bad considering. Good mix of shorter par 4s and 3 or 4 that measure 440+. Definitely a course worth playing.
