Course Highlights
Quintero's dramatic elevation changes and uniquely designed holes make it one of Arizona's most celebrated layouts. Welcoming staff and well-maintained conditions consistently reward golfers who make the scenic drive out.

Rating 75.3

Located in the desert just north of Phoenix and Scottsdale, the golf course at Quintero Golf Club is a challenge but with up to as many as nine tees per hole, it can accommodate golfers of all different abilities and handicaps. The rolling, desert terrain of the course features dramatic elevation changes for interesting play. The golf course's design has wide fairways and plenty of water hazards and sand bunkers. The most difficult hole is the par-5 8th hole, which plays uphill with three large bunkers alongside the right side of the lay-up area. Another difficult but noteworthy hole is Quintero Golf Club's third, which has a scenic lake to the left that sometimes tricks golfers into playing close to it with their tee shot for an easier second shot to the green.

Fun Course, Scenic, greens and tee boxes not the best

Tee boxes and greens were kinda beat up. Nobody seems to fix their ball marks here. Fairways were in good shape and the views are nice. Starter had a bad attitude which never goes well for me. Pace was decent especially after frost delay. I recommend this course if you can score a deal.

Love Quinterro

Overall, one of my favourite golf courses in the Phoenix area. Great layout, conditions are always good, great range, staff is always friendly, lots of tee box options that players can choose from but there are a few things that need to be improved. First, the bunkers are bordering on disrepair and neglect and need to be Revitalized with new sand and rock removal. Second, the pace of place is always an issue. You cannot tee off on this golf course any later than 1 o'clock and hope to finish in daylight and I think this is due to the fact that the layout is punishing and people play from the wrong tees. Third, the rack rate is extremely high and does not properly reflect the course that you were going to play. The maximum anybody should have to pay to play on this track should be $200 or less. Finally, the food and beverage is pretty much nonexistent, even though the staff is quite friendly on course.

A truly special place

Too start the staff is amazing from the bag drop to the front desk. Great information to start about the best way to maximize your experience. The start crew is friendly and kind. They really want you to enjoy your experience, a lot of starters only care about pace of play and the rules. These guys get that information to you without a lecture.

Carts are set up nice. They are slow but that’s ok because if they were any faster everyone would run off the mountain.

The cart staff is amazing. Ashley steals the show, they come around a lot.

The course is first rate. The recent money and upgrades they put in really shows. The bunkers are the best in Arizona by a mile. Par 3 are great for each tee box. Take your friends it’s worth it.

First time since Renovations

Had another great day at Quintero. Played with some first timers who really enjoyed the course as well. The greens were completely redone over the summer, and have come in nicely. There are a few where you can see the sod lines, but most were in great condition. Some near the end of the round were getting a bit rough, but were still rolling very fast but true.

Great Renovation; Slow Play

Wonderful job renovating the bunkers. Greens rolling OK and still growing in.

Teed off on time at 8:22. It took us 2:20 to play the first 7 holes. On the 8th tee, we found that the group ahead had not teed off. Apparently they spent an extended amount of time with the beverage cart. We called the Clubhouse (there is no direct means to do this - you have to call the reservations center and have them transfer you to the clubhouse). They promised to deal with the situation - and they did to some extent - such that we played a 5 hour round. It would have been worse otherwise.

Friends had played the prior week and they also experienced extended waits between shots. It’s a wonderful course. Just know that you’re going to make an entire day of it…..

Arizona Golf

Beautiful and difficult layout with quite a bit of elevation changes

Conditions were pretty good considering they just re-opened one week ago or so (cart path only)

Only negative was their new greens which were quite fast but very bumpy

worth the drive none the less

Again.. Slow Play

This was our second time playing here, the difference was night and day. First time was a 7:15am tee time through Troon. Playing 4 1/2 hrs, seen the players assistant at least 6 times. This time say the players assistant on hole 3 and they disappeared, after 3:20 and standing on the 11th tee box 3rd foursome in line I called in. Finally about an hour later a different players assistant came to apologize stating there was a slow group. I don’t understand these fancy golf courses that want to cater to those that get drunk to thr gills and then play in 6 1/2 hrs. Nice golf course.. zero service, unless you want to get hammered

Luv Quintero, but need a marshall.

Love playing Quintero, never disappoints. One thing I did notice when standing on the first tee box was that the fairways were a little browner than normal, probably due to the transitioning to Bermuda grass. Still an outstanding round, front nine is more scoreable than the back nine. Need to make sure placement of shots, or else you will be doing lots of desert laterals.

Greens were hard and firm and running at about a 12 or 13, so the group in front of us was having a lot of trouble, seemed to spend a lot of time on the greens . Would have been good to have a marshall out, as what should’ve been a four hour and 10 minute round, stretched out to 445. Group in front was at least a hole and a half behind on the back nine. Sure they may had fun, but when you had to wait for every shot, and you could see the whole number 10 par 5 completely open in front of them, and hear the group on number 11 green, it never got better.

Long par 5 middle of back nine still on tee ordering drinks from cart girl and no one on hole in front. Need to do better on that Quintero!

Extremely slow play - over 5 hours. Poor conditions. I got paired up with 3 a-holes. There are better places to play where you can in 4.5 hours. Avoid this course
