Stoneybrook East Golf Course

I like playing here. Truly. AND you can tell they are trying to improve things. But it is a little bit expensive without having things like cart service, better carts (every single cart has ripped seats and is consistently dirty… seriously), have a ranger or someone to enforce faster pace of play, and the drainage on most of the holes is terribleGranted, it rained last night, but I’ve been here when it hasn’t rained for days and the fairways are still sloshy.

But, again, I do like playing here. The holes are fun. Fairways and greens are well trimmed. The staff is always very friendly and are great. I’ve seen them actively working on fairways during the week. They’re definitely improving.

Add a cart girl (not trying to be gross, it’s just missing for the price point), upgrade your carts, improve pace of play, and keep working on the water issue.. If that happens, you got yourselves a banger of a course. I wouldn’t play anywhere else. Seriously.

The course has an excellent layout. It’s in very good condition. The pace of clay was just fine. I enjoyed the round very much. Looking forward to playing it again soon

The course is in winter condition. The layout is good and pace of play excellent.

Course is in decent shape, pace of play was good and the weather held out pretty well. Was not too busy given our 7:20 a.m. tee time.

Never a cart person here, which I don't understand but not a deal breaker.

Unfortunately, only had 3 players for the round (4th was not feeling well). This resulted in my card being charged for the 4th player.

While I am aware that this is a GolfNow policy, I have never had any other course charge if we were one player short. Not only that, it would have been nice if the pro shop would have made me aware and not gotten an email several days later.

Seems like really poor customer service, but I doubt that it matters to them. That said, not sure I will be returning here (much less using GolfNow to book any more tee times). Too many other options in the area.

Great round today. Course is in great condition and makes you use all the clubs in the bag. Yes the greens are a bit slow. But overall a great course for the price. I will be back.

Course is in better shape than the last year but still needs a lot of work. A few funky holes need to be redesigned. Greens were slow but rolled ok. Fairways were just ok. No drinking water on course so come prepared.

Don’t like that they have a up charge for non-residents.. but on golf now with Hot Deals it doesn’t matter.

Young dude staff are top notch friendly. Course is a fun layout, with meandering cart paths through the neighborhood (totally unwalkable, but who does that it FL).

As a scratch player, my only issue is the soft, shaggy and slow greens due to Rye overseeding, which makes it look lush and green for the chops who don't know any better, and who likely play better and thus like their experience more that way. Greens are still puttable, but about the slowest I've found in Greater Orlando.

Owners have to balance spending the money to overseed and have their base customer hackers like it because it's nice and green, vs. not overseeding and having the dormant bermuda look dried out and brown and the hackers will complain. I get it.

Pro tip: Watch you ball very closely or use yellow or patterned ball on the 1st hole or you may have trouble finding it with the dozens of range balls people slice onto that fairway.

We had a great time. I'm from Michigan, so I am not use to the greens here. They rolled pretty true so I was pretty happy about that. We played here 17 years ago when my then 12 YO son got his Hole In One on no. 12. We loved the course then, still enjoyed it now.

Loved this course. Super playable hole layouts with good challenges on the back 9. The staff are super friendly. I was traveling here, so I had to rent a set and they were brand new Wilson staff set. The driving range is over water, never experienced that before! Super great neighborhood views throughout the course and it was well kept, most people fixing their pitch marks and adding sand to divots throughout. Fairways are pretty fast but the greens were slow, sometimes hard to trust your reads. Overall this course was really fun and for $65-75 I don’t know if you can find better value. I played twin rivers before this and I can’t believe they’re the same price.

Nice layout, good value Fairways and tea boxes were in nice shape. The greens probably hadn’t been mowed in a month. They were as slow as I’ve ever played. Can’t complain about a 3 1/2 round on a Friday afternoon.

The fairways were green . the greens and rough were also green (rye) grass around the greens . The new rye grass on the greens need to be cut lower so you can

putt normal, very slow . Overall course conditions were good.
