Stoneybrook East Golf Course
About
Located in Central Florida, Stoneybrook East Golf Course is a championship course that has all the signatures of classic Florida golf courses. Although traditional in design there are some modern elements that lend to the overall challenge of the course. The large fairways are naturally tree-lined and the generous greens are multi-tiered and undulating. The green are also immaculately kept. Preserved wetlands and waterways create hazards that come into play on a few holes. There is also abundant wildlife on the course. Stoneybrook East Golf Course features three sets of tees.

Fun track
Fun track lots of challenges good value
Greens have been under repair a while now understand they had a water pump part issue that let the greens burn out but still fun course for value
Groups allow your buddies to move the ball on the greens as we await their recovery and be nice.
What happened?
This course has had its ups and downs through the last 5 years but I would have to say it has hit its low. Not sure if they can bring the greens back as they are beyond thin and mostly dirt. Hopefully this course won’t deteriorate like Eastwood and evenly become an overgrown weed farm.
Greens terrible
Greens at this course are terrible and most of the tee boxes were in bad shape too
Stoneybrook East
The course greens are in very bad shape as well fringe areas. Tee boxes & fairways are fine! Pace of play great & staff friendly. Course was not very busy!
Needs TLC
Like the reviews I read before booking, the greens here aren't up to golf course standards, especially for $40. I'm no superintendent but I think this course needs to be aerated from box to green and then reseeded.
The layout was nice though, some holes were a long way from each other so thank goodness for carts. I'd play again if the price was cut in half for the same conditions.
Stoneybrook East
Tee boxes and greens were rotten but the fairways and ruff were good. I considered the $20 I paid in greenfees made for 3 hours on a driving range.
Great Layout But the Greens Need Help
The last time I played this course was about 5 or 6 years ago, simply for the fact that I found other courses more economical for a retiree as I am. But, 2 things recently piqued my interest: one was a YouTube video where the subject was "the worst course in Florida" and it was Stoneybrook and second, I found the green fees for this week were only about $30, about half of the usual.
So, my golfing compatriot and I played today which was a gorgeous day for golf, cool, sunny, and a bit of wind to check it out. This is a challenging layout with some water on almost every hole and changes in fairway contours, not to mention the 8 foot long alligator that was 25 yards from the number 10 tee. The fairways were good and the traps had sufficient sand but the greens...AAAAK! Every green had some brown areas and some had dried mud areas that made putting quite adventurous. The staff had obviously cut the pins in the best grassy areas so short putts were not too challenging, but long ones...frustrating at times. The tees look like they were recently overseeded and the new grass is growing and the fairways, while not pristine, did not have any bare areas as I've experienced at another local course that has a rather high opinion of itself.
Overall, it was an enjoyable round and the course can be a wonderful track if the greens problems can be resolved. And, also, more rakes are needed for the traps as they seemed to be in short supply. I really like this course for the money we paid, but I checked and it appears the green fees are going way up to $60 (GASP! CHOKE!) next week. If you can find a hot deal, you should enjoy a round here but, for $60, I suggest you shop around.
Such a nice layout, too bad is not well maintained.
I love the layout of this course with very interesting and challenging holes. Unfortunately many green are bare with no grass which makes putting impossible. I hope they start keeping up this course.
Sad shape
This is an interesting course. Almost every hole is different from the one before it but unfortunately the greens are terrible. Large dead patches….if you enjoy putting don’t play this course.
Stoneybrook East
Tee boxes and green’s were in very bad condition. Although the fairways and ruff were in great shape. And for $20 I might play it again just so I don’t have to go to a driving range.
This course was the worst ever
Course was like a cow pasture, greens was very poor shape no green on the green all brown very disappointing round of golf and want my money back.could not putt on any greens. Never will I go back!!!!!!!!
