Stoneybrook East Golf Course

This was the second time we played on our trip and it did not disappoint.

The conditions were very good and greens were fast for winter golf in Florida.

The best part is pace of play at Stoneybrook, it is well under 4 hours.

This course will definitely be in the rotation for our next visit.

The course was in pretty good shape and the greens were rolling pure. Only issue I had with the course was that the bunkers appeared to be returning back to the earth. They hadn’t been raked in a long time and were starting to get quite a bit of grass growing in them. Just not what you would expect for the price.

At nearly $100 this was an expensive golf outing but this time of year higher prices are going to be expected. Course was in good shape and we finished in 4.5 hours. Staff were all very friendly and overall was a nice day of golf. Restaurant was closed but hot dog was available at snack shack so all good.

The course has a very good layout and can be challenging. Lots of water holes. It hasnt been maintained. Bunkers need sand and shaping, bare patches all over the course, not enough signage between holes, its easy to get lost, Pro shop staff weere hitting balls at the range no one to greet us. No marshall at all. Apparently one pro shop attendant said they are getting a big overhaul soon but they arent maintaining the course enough to charge that amount of money.

The I believe Donna was very friendly and you felt very welcomed I’ll go back just because of her😅😅😅

Stonneybrook East was an enjoyable day. The golf course is in decent shape for this time of the year. A couple of bad spots on the greens and in the fairways but overall it played well. We played later in the day and there were no pace of play issues. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely play the course again.

This is a nice course. The layout is decent, just wish there were a bit more doglegs or designs like that. Seems most of the holes are straight. Don’t get me wrong, I do like the course but it is a “local” course and that’s about all it will be. It’s fun and enjoyable for a round of golf. This time is was dry so that was nice. I do love the scenic drives between some of the holes.

This course really surprised me - the fairways, tee blocks, and bunkers were very good. The greens were well above average and held well with true reds. I'll play this course whenever I can and recommend it. A super vale!

Getting more expensive but a very nice course. Enjoyed it.
