Excellent value
Thoroughly enjoyed. Conditions have steadily improved over the past few years. Will definitely play again when we return in the fall.
not bad
decent course but needs water to be in better shape. played in jan 2013 and it was in better shape then
goodlayout
The course has improved conditions since last played in Nov. Greens have in most part filled in and roll well. wind plays role on most holes.Helps to have played it before as know where to place shot on some of the blind holes or where to lay up. As in most courses picking the appropriate tee box for ability and handicap is important. some long forced carries off tee boxes or to greens. Traps could use some sand, the soil sand mix not consistant. NOTE: Sundays and Mondays no cart and no service from on site grill closed. For the $$$ spent a good challenge with variety. .3.5 hrs for two great.
Fun course, terrible staff
This was a fun course to play. Several of the holes offered some unique allowing you to play around with different shots and strategies. Greens were in good shape and rolling well, fairways were maintained though not so much if you found yourself off the short grass.
I'd recommend this course purely for the golf as the staff there is in need of some serious attention. From the pro-shop to the starter to a passing manager, I have never met a more unfriendly, unprofessional and dismissive staff as I have at Palisades!! The only saving graces were the young woman at the bag drop and our bartender at the turn. Based on just our dealings with everyone there, we will not be returning this course any time soon.
Not a great course for short hitters
This course has some serious design flaws as it plays way too long to be senior or women friendly. It has one hole on the back nine that most women would become frustrated with as it has a forced carry to the green from end of fairway at 130 yds. Even the gold tees play over 6000 yds. It has some short par 5's and then throws almost 400 yd par 4's at you. The greens were ok but the overall condition was lacking. Better than two yrs ago but still needs work. Probably won't be back unless they make it more friendly for shorter hitters. The starter will tell you that if your average drives isn't 250 or more you need to play the golds not the whites. The blues are almost 7000 yds.
Tough, needs some work.
Greens are fast but need some repair/work. Lots of contours on the greens! Course needs water, lots of hitting off of bare ground.
This is a challenging course, not for beginners. Had a fivesome and single payers???
The views and lay-out are some of the best in the area.
With the right amount of investment this course can rival any in central Florida.
Good value - nice course.
Unlike many Florida golf courses, The Palisades provides elevation changes that enhance the interesting and moderately challenging layout.
Golf Now Hot Deals got us on for a very reasonable price - I'm not sure if I would have felt that I got good value if we had paid the full regular green fee. There are just so many choices in the area.
The course was in good condition although a few of the greens had damage. Bunkers were in fair condition - but to be fair, it had rained shortly before we played.
Overall, we enjoyed our round on what we felt was a pretty good course for the money.
course in good condition
enjoyable game .Everyone kept up with play.Course in good condition .Good vlue for money.
Good challenge, some great features but slow play.
This course is for the average to above average golfer. It plays long, regardless of the tee deck you use. Well trapped, just enough water, with fairly large and fast greens. Course is in average shape for the time of year, but be warned that it plays very slow because of its' length and popularity.
too slow needs attention
some people should not be on a golf course : we got them infront no ranger course needs attention bunkers terrible tees need seeding and repairs some nice holes but just toooooslow
challenging for retired people
The golf course was in fine shape and we enjoyed playing most of the holes. Had some trouble in the second nine with wall before the green on hole 11.
course review
the couse was in average shape. Fairways had been overseeded, but were not mowed recently. Greens were ok.
Fun course with some challenging holes. Good for the average golfer.
Course is in very nice condition. Cleverly placed traps can make it a challenge for some holes. Pin placement was more difficult than average with sloping greens.
Good value for the money
The greens were in excellent shape, good reads and forgiving, the best part of the course. However, the fairways were a little worn, lack of watering, but still playable. The bunkers need some TLC.
Will play again.
Good course near Kissimmee. Good value.
Terrain surprised me for FL. Some holes a little ragged, but enjoyed the course.
Difficult course. Not for over 2 handicaps
Enjoyed the play. Like the course. Wish they had a tee under 6000.
Nice course, tough greens
About 45 mins up from Disney is Palisades CC, and if you're looking for good golf in the Orlando area at a fraction of the Disney prices then you could do worse than play here.
The front 9 is longer, but the fairways are wider. The back 9 isn't really tight, but there is a whole lot more water to focus the mind.
And then there are the greens. I'm not sure there's a flat area of green on the course, and anyone who doesn't put a 3 putt on his card has done exceptionally well.
The clubhouse overlooks Lake Mineola and has quite the view. Like I said earlier, you could do far worse than play here.
