enjoyed my round of golf at Palisade! Recommended by a resident

Plays well but is slightly tired and needs a bit of a spruce up.

This course has shown significant improvement the last two years. It was the premier course back in the late 80's and early 90's. After the hurricanes of 2004, the owner let it deteriorate to one of the poorest courses in the area. New ownership and management have put this course back on track. The greens are superb once again, and the fairways are improving daily. The practice area still needs work, but this is an excellent track for the money.

The fairway overseed is coming in nicely. The greens were pretty & FAST. The bunkers need some attention...some were really hard. The transition for cart traffic from fairway to green side cart path needs to be better marked.
Tee to green the course is in pretty good shape. The fairways were a little furry but the overseed looked good.

The pro shop needs to hand out ball mark repair tools. Greens were being abused. Don't miss the green on the the Traffic Side. The areas between some of the greens and tees were in poor shape.

Not a lot of yardage markers on the course. Bring a laser with you. Carts are new.

Second time I've played this course. First time condition was awful... This time much better. Pace of play poor... No Marshall. Slow.

The greens were mostly ok but the rest of the course was in poor condition.

Overall pleasant place to play. Nice staff, not busy, and maintained better than you'd expect for price. Living in Florida, elevation changes are rare and this course has them! Will play again for sure.

We really enjoyed playing this course! The holes fit our eye well , the fairways were in good shape and the greens were quick and consistent. Holes 2 and 3 were pretty challenging early in the round and the foursome behind our two were a little intimidating with each one having his own cart. We felt a little pushed with their pace of play and couldn't really enjoy the course until about the sixth hole. We plan to play this one again before we go home - it was very nice and the staff very courteous.

Friendly Starter gave us very accurate pointers on yardages. 2 sets of tees rated for women. Needs more yardage information. Would have liked to know how far to cut corners or clear water hazards. Water comes in to play on alot of holes. Excellent smooth rolling and quick greens. Fairways are lush and great to hit off. Loved the layout. Will be playing again. Top 3 favorite for the area.

Very friendly staff, challenging for the 15 handicapper, great value.

The greens rolled well, but were a little slow. Several memorable holes.

really enjoy this course, greens are in best shape ive seen here.. didnt have anyone in front of me or behind me on every hole with a noon tee time. it was a rough day from the teebox for me but the greens were rolling so nice i saved a lot of strokes, which is rarely the case for my game... with the hot deal it was incredible value, if you havent played here its worth a shot especially if you live in the Clermont area

Wow! A must play for sure. I haven't played Palisades in a few months and i played it this past Saturday, December 1,2012, it looks fantastic! The course in great shape. They also bought new deisel golf carts which are the nicest carts they have ever had. The staff is always very friendly and welcoming. The course could easily charge $50 or more, but the cart and greens fees are always very reasonable. Check them out and see for yourself, Have fun, i know I did!

Recently overseeded making the course sandy; fairways in great conditions; off the fairway some crabgrass problems but not bad; some challenging greens in back nine; All holes are nice and long, including the par 3's; The shape of holes is interesting with dog legs and ponds throughout; Many greens are flat making a one putt relatively easy Some greens were nice a challenging making twp putts sometimes difficult. I like a challenge.

Most golf courses permit play a second game at a reduced rate. this course was virtually empty but would not give a break on the price for a second round so we did not stay; Price is reasonable. Clubhouse is nice.

Grens are getting better. Speed was better yesterday when we played.

Just a wonderful golfing experience. Can't wait to go back. We played as two foursomes and couldn't ask for friendlier or more accommodating Staff. Keep up the good work! The Golf Pro at the Pallisades is such an outstandingly wonderful lady! Thanks for ensuring my wife had a most comfortable warm round. Looked for you afterwards to treat you to a beverage but couldn't find you. Thank you all!

We try to play this course once a week when in Florida. It has many risk and reward holes which can completely destroy your card. They were seeding the front 9 when we played so we played the back 9 twice. Doubly challenging as we think the back 9 is harder. Look out for Charlie the Gorilla on 13th tee.

Got to the course and paid for my round. Went out to hit some balls off the range and it was closed. They decided that they would put the range tee area about five yards into the range and well you are hitting out of weeds. Also while in the club house they said as i was walking out that the front nine was closed and i would have to play the back nine twice. No where was this posted or told to me when i called the course and made the tee time. Tee boxes were not level and had tons of ant hills in them. Course was in horrible shape. Fairways had bare spots and was more weeds than Bermuda. Greens were very long and slow and had weeds growing up in it. Course was no maintained well at all. Greens were inconsistent some were 1/4 long others 1 inch or longer they had not been rolled in a while. Was not an enjoyable round and will not visit this course again.

The last time I played Palisades I did not feel that the course was in good condition, so I did not play there for about three years until recently. I was quite surprised. The course was in much better condition than I expected. The greens were recently over seeded so putting was a little bumpy put puttable. They are doing a good job bringing this course back to favorable conditions. I think the layout is great, every hole is different. It is well worth the money to give it a try.

Good layout and great value for the money when using Golfnow but the course is average in terms of how it is maintained
