Green Valley Country Club
About
Green Valley Country Club in Clermont sprawls across rolling hills that were once used for citrus farming. The unusually undulating terrain allows for scenic vistas all around, including a panoramic view of Lake Minneola from the sixth fairway. The golf course boasts some of the highest elevations in Lake County and the routing of the layout does much to take advantage of the sloping terrain. Throughout the golf course you'll find linear fairways and large rolling greens that call for heroic carries. Water hazards come into play on a few holes but in order to let the natural contours shine, bunkering was kept to a minimum. You'll only find it along the front and sides of the greens. Green Valley Country Club's seventh is one of the toughest holes, with an intimidating peninsula green that requires an epic drive in order to reach it in regulation.

layout has potential but…
This track needs a renovation on every level in every area and until then, GV should closedown and take a page out Legends Clermont MGMT playbook down the street. The only positive thing about GV is it’s overall layout. Everything else needs a facelift.
The greens and fairways were in need of water. Greens were very hard and extremely fast.
what golf course?
This course has really gone downhill; the tee boxes, fairways, greens, and bunkers all need some drastic TLC. greens had tuffs of grass sprouting up throwing the line of your putt off course. fairways were nob existent. Tee boxes were chewed up. Bunkers needed more sand and needed to be raked. I feel bad for this course, It could really be a gem if someone would take care of it.
Don’t waste your money or time
First time playing the course. We were told the course was in “ pretty good shape” by another golfer but it is one of the worst my wife and I have ever played. Normally we play Kings ridge just south of Clermont which is in great shape but $5 more per round. Green valley tee boxes and fairways were mostly sand or scrub and the greens were rock hard and very short cut like a synthetic polyester material. Every putt just ran away
Waste of money
Ok for January after a freeze
Grass in fairways is cut too short. Balls were resting on ground with no grass to hold ball up. Greens were fast but puttable, some holes were “crowned” and as ball slowed, went left or right at the cup.
TLC Lacking
I've been playing this course for 10 years and was upset by the terrible condition it was in yesterday. No grass on the tees. No grass on most fairways. Greens so barren the ball didn't stop rolling. Right off the green on more than one hole. Significant amount of weeds on the greens.
The layout is still great, but I won't try to play it again on this trip South.
shape.
Not in great shape. Fairways were not grassed, greens were full of weedy patches. The layout would have been more appreciated if the course was in better shape.
DISAPPOINTED
Green Valley could be a real nice course, but it needs plenty of TLC. Traditional in design, but it winds through a neighborhood which for me is a negative. Greens were in poor condition and the fairways were to.
Deceptive greens and they were rolling out fast. Elevation shots and valleys with a few approaches over water. Nice track overall and will play again
Disappointed
I've played there many times over the last 50+ years.
It was usually in great shape. Yesterday I was shocked at the course conditions. The other courses in the Clermont area are much better. I sure hope they can bring it back.
I won't play there again until the conditions improve.
It is not in good shape
Greens were average to poor condition, the rest is in poor condition. I paid $42 and they shouldn’t be charging more than $30. The course layout/design is nice, but it needs a significant dollar investment to bring it to good condition.
